RE: COVID - Declassified UK1 Apr 2020 16:47
Afernoong Guys, many sensible posts today and I think we are all understanding far better what we are deling with here.
The latest death number here is 536 one third up on previous day, but the important figure is that 7% more people have been tested and 17% have been tested positive. According to two scientists on Sky that shows we are no where near a plateau.
Just woken up myself but yesterday three people told me family members have COVID19, of which one has sadly passed, I would have thought more ofus are starting to hear of someone closer to us who has this virus.
Ruck, wishing yours well, and wondering how your daughter in law is recovering, and perhaps has her follow up appointments been hindered by the resources being put into COVID 19. It is one of my worries that those who have been diagnosed with cancer at all stages will suffer as a result of something which is the fault of nobody IMHO, as are many other known diseases and conditions.
I don"t know about you guys but I have put on 10 kilos since Xmas Day so decided last week was a good time to lose 15. Five days on 3 kilos lighter. Might as well do something positive through this, Yeah it is still vanity for me, but my breathing already feels a wee bit easier and I read in Violin Dogs post about mortalities in overweight people, that gave me the spur I needed.
Violin Dog, I hope you are bearing up as well as you can, the mental horror of this will scar many, I send you my warmest regards as I do everybody here.
Keep safe, don"t go stir crazy, it is amazing what we learn about ourselves in whatever stages of isolation we are in. ATVB
