In the sixties a group of Basque tourists decided to visit London. One of the highlights of the tour was a visit to Harrods.
This firm had a marvellous rotating front door, first of its kind. The Basques had never seen anything like this before so they stood there in amazement, watching the door operating and swinging round while customers disappeared smoothly inside.
Their guide gave the signal that they could enter the store. They, to a man, took a mad rush towards it and the door kept spinning around hurling them mercilessly into the oncoming traffic outside, almost like being hit with a giant cricket bat. Many of them were badly injured being randomly thrown out onto a busy London street .
The lesson from the story is as follows, 'DO NOT PLACE ALL YOUR BASQUES IN ONE EGGSIT'
