These will be renegotiated at the Workshop. From previous updates, Financial Close could have been 12months to 18months away (with the binding JDA set for end of July 2018). But all of this now to be renegotiated. Theoretically, this August workshop could lead to Financial Close coming in sooner as they will be discussing in much greater detail with partners the PPA and FC elements too, and not just the tariff.

Today's RNS is extremely interesting!

This workshop is happening early August, where they will be agreeing (to repeat your point);

"Updated timetable for key milestones including the power tariff sign off, Power Purchase Agreement ("PPA") negotiations, Financial Close ("FC") and the date of first power on the grid expected to be agreed during the Workshop."

This is from their early August workshop. If anything, it shows they are moving quickly and effectively. Extremely pleased to hear that our project forms a key of their strategy!

We mya be hearing about things a lot earlier than folk realise.

The extra time needed not brilliant but being part of the country's ten year strategy is a massive sign this is happening. Without NCCL, they won't be able to fulfill that strategy.

Buy on the dips, add and build as this is happening. Now a chance for those arriving new, too, to learn a bit more about the project and build holdings towards the inevitable JDA.

Appreciate you posting that across stevenc72 You could imagine the 'intense' (as the ADVFN poster puts it) activity at this point. Agree that at this point, inevitable they're working on JDA, not just tariff (in fact, tariff feeding into and helping to conclude binding JDA). The entire thing could land all at once. And still working towards end of the month (give or take) Even if they update us on tariff separately and in advance of JDA, they will have been preparing for its aftermath and lead into JDA and thereafter.

There are a number points over which a re rate will happen. The upcoming binding JDA will give a huge uplift to the SP. If the numbers fall right, we're talking huge. Folks only need to wait a matter days for that. Beyond this, folks can then make up their mind if they want to keep a holding in NCCL as a long term thing, unless something like a buyout happens :-)) Good luck to the regulars and all other genuine ol muckers!

If we retain 20% of the project, and we go by upward of $300million annual revenue just based on 300MW (and coal mine), then as a crude calculation; 20% of annual revenue of $1800million (power project and coal mine). That's $300million annual revenue to us for the 20% once up to 1800MW. Exactly why GE (and CMEC) want this! And EDM ain't going to say no, cos they stand to make a killing as the state utility.

Let's just say this. Struggling General Electric (GE) need to push on with their Power Division, with Africa and rest of developing world a fundamental part of the picture. In fact, absolutely integral. And lookin at it rather carefully, Ncondezi Power Project (NCCL) is the biggest thing they have lined up out of all their currently proposed projects. So much so, it's feeding neighbouring countries such as Zambia with power and other projects such as KIBOs Mozambique project with coal. The project is hugely significant to both GE and partners and to that region of Africa. And we've just handed what will be the most competitive Tariff the authorities (EDM and MIREME) are ever going to get. Days, that's all it is.

Agree Splatted. I think most PIs would've been happy investing but the entire thing (AIM especially) was overrun by those who have privileged access and put the rest to such a disadvantage that trading has had to become an increasing strategy. That corruption also includes many companies too. It's become so that it's hard to imagine a genuine non rampy share that might multibag in the way you expect from a rampy share like UKOG et al But it's here. NCCL is it.

In other words, quality will out with the JDA, which is nearly upon us, end of month.

The JDA numbers will provide a clear value to aim towards, so it won't be pie in the sky SP valuations from there. If we go by one poster's (gods) estimate of $150million for 20% to take GE and CMEC to 80% (from the current minimum 60%), then we get a sense also of the potential value of our remaining 20%. That's concrete enough and will be reflected in the eventual SP (so cash for 20% to be reinvested and the remaining 20% as comparably valued - adds to quite a lot!). There's also the possibility of a buyout, which is the most concrete way to realising value. But best for the moment to go by JDA for the moment :-)

Med_is, yes, thanks, remember that. We won't be getting the rates just yet, whether or not we get tariff in principle approval RNS. Given that they'll be limited as to what they can say in the Tariff RNS at this stage, is possible that news of tariff approval comes with JDA RNS. Certainly, the Options RNS lists binding JDA as the first key milestone to which Options are attached (still working to end of July). Not bothering with a tariff RNS allows them to get on with preparing the binding JDA documents and RNS. Whatever way, again, end of month is literally upon us :-))
