DC, could be 01st April if it is finished on the Crackwn in the next couple of weeks, 2 days to move, a couple days to polish the BOP and get set up and then crack on.

Absolutely no reason why this will not be back above 120 and Enquest back above 30p. All it will take is a week or so of >$70 oil to give the market confidence and both will rise considerably.

Adoubleuk - you say "going for marginal with the additional risk" yes I see where you are coming from but disagree that that actually would or did happen. There will be set and agreed parameters for each hook up with a few Go/No-Go calls based on those parameters. And if they are outside those the safe limits then they would not attempt it which I think probably happened.
The way I see this is that Bluewater, who will undoubtably be calling the shots decided that there was a good enough chance that there was a weather window that would allow them to safely hook up and as such decided to crew up and head out there in case that was the case - it never developed so they rightly called it off and headed back to the Cromarty.
It now looks like another week at least till we get another chance to hook up but it will eventually happen and then this board can worry themselves sick about rumours of a delay to First Oil followed by production rates speculation and rumours etc etc. What was interesting though is that the short Chopper flights from Bristows tomorrow and Friday never were rescheduled, perhaps they knew that this was indeed a long shot before setting sail and that there was a good chance of them being back in the Cromarty before those flights got in the Air.

Strange one - back to waiting I suppose and if the cannot hook up on Friday then they have no chance at all going by the weather forecast next week.

Absolutely Jim. and as some have mentioned, prior to the last hook up attempt the SP was at 50p - this time the Price of Oil is 10% higher, the CoS IMO of hooking up is higher (due to lessons learned and a higher spec rope) and with the 2 Anchor Handlers on their way it suggest that the Drill Rig will follow shortly.
I also think that there will still be a lot of money waiting for the AM to firstly arrive at Lancaster and secondly to successfully get hooked up.
I cannot see any reason why this will not be at least 50p prior to Hook up and interested in others views or reason why it shouldn't hit this level by Cop tomorrow.

Nope, Thursdays swell is below 2 but wave height is out of limits and wind is above 40kts.
Friday the wave and swell are both between 2 and 3m and the wind down to about 15kts.
Maybe check that the chart you are looking at isn't upside down.

Lady Sonia. I think we all know that nothing was damaged. I also think that this will be marked up on opening and will go up quickly as people try to but back in. At the last attempt to Hook up the SP went to 50p this time the Oil Price is 10% higher, the rope has a new outer sheath and the lessons learned from the last time will be invaluable. This should be an interesting dew days for the,SP IMO. 55p minimum by Monday if things go to plan.

Guys, by any chance, did a tanker full of Troll Grease turn up at the UKOG, Echo and Angs cages that allowed the inhabitants to squeeze through the bars and wander across here. Serious investors and traders, a quick look at the history of some of the posters here, their posts and the shares that they have been involved in will tell you a lot about them. When the AM hooks up (hopefully later this week) Anchor handlers mobilising possibly this weekend, and First Oil and Lincoln Spud a few weeks later, I fully expect more of those Y-front warriors to arrive with their wisdom, I cannot wait.

DHC, I agree with you, that buyers may have to be quick tomorrow morning, but I suspect they will have to pay at least a little more than the 43.68p of today.

85, we have had some real clowns on here over the years and I always find them mildly entertaining, at least initially, please do not leave. So on one hand you are saying that you have info that you cannot divulge and then you say that you are now investing because you have info, not in the public domain that you cannot devulge. Not how I see it Boyzee. - Wed would have been hit a no-go because the wave height is above 3m and 40-50 Kts winds, same with Thursday although swell drops right down on Thu, the wave and wind is too high IMO. -
All day Friday the swell and wave heght is showing just over 2m and dropping and the wind speed is around 10kts so Friday looks idea for hook upl IMO (provided the rope has arrived).
Sat looks just out of limits.
This is from the official WNI forecast updated at 0700hrs GMT today, which is the official one used in the NS and WoS (Not Magic Mermaid or some seaside webcam site).
Could get quite busy out there soon, with the Anochor handlers possibly sailing over the weekend, and the AM hopefully sailing in the next 24-36hrs if she is indeed going to go for a Friday Hook-up.

Before the last attempt to hook up the SP was 50p and the Oil Price was $60. I see no reason why the SP should not be above 50p for the next attempt/s with the Oil Price circa $66.
Then the RNS informing of successful Hook-up should again be SP positive.
Followed hopefully be First - about 4 weeks later (possibly around the same time as spudding the first GWA appraisal well on Lincoln).
