Ak, it doesn't always work like that mate, on quite a few occasions the weather in the Shetlands has been horrendous and out of limits for flying (both fixed wing and chopper) whilst offshore it is relatively calm. - just saying.

WellWell, the latest report tonight from WNI shows the weather slightly better than earlier today, and I think that you will agree that WNI is the one that most, if not all Operators use offshore.

If anything the latest weather forecast for next Monday and Tuesday is better than it was last night.

I always thought that the rule of thumb was that those DNV+1A1 drillers could run a BOP in up to a 4m seastate - I may be wrong though and hopefully SOTB will be along shortly to clarify.
Brent is circa $67.91 as I type so, I don't really see that as slipping very much- unless you are looking at either the 3hr chart or the 5 year chart.
I also think the the China trade wars will be sorted in the next month or so and all fears of any economic downturn put to bed and consumption forecasts for China back to a realistic level, POO up.
Brexit in my opinion will have little impact on this share short or long term
I do however share you concerns about the Giant Squid.
All IMO, although I am generally very positive which has always worked for me, and I suppose because I do not want a cheaper buy in price (fully loaded till FOil) then I am positively biased.

Hi Biffa, still a bit early to call but latest update is now showing waves and swell between 2 and 3 metres on Monday . On Tuesday swell drops below 2m and the wave height above 3m. Again without knowing what limits BW are working off, it is hard to call. I will keep you updated off line over the next couple if days - or just watch Friday and Sat to see if the AM pulls anchor or not.

Biffa, between 3 and 5 weeks from Hook up to Foil, and up to 3 months from Foil until they hit >20mmbd IMO. Remember the 17k is average, they are bringing one well on at a time and will be hoping that a single well when ramped up could potentially produce 17mmbd.
Foil is just that, - the fist slug of Oil on board from the wells. Most Companies will leave it at least a day or so before announcing to ensure that the plant is stable, no leaks or seeps etc before announcing First Oil officially.

A few on this thread probably should not invest in this sector as it is obviously a little too complex. - I suggest that Teso's or McDonald's would be a safer investment and one that perhaps would be easier to understand - you may even get free or discounted employee shares there.
