I'm not expecting quick news necessarily for a couple of reasons;
1. Finland has 38 targets which are pure exploration samples. Realistically we should expect some to be written off, some to give us the appearance of a marginal result and hopefully others to provide strong positive outcomes. However a range of outcomes is possible including a scenario in which no strong positives register. Whatever we learn from the tests it is highly likely that if we have any positives then then the next steps will be to take a more detailed look at these targets. If our current mine project is any example there is the possibility for enormous variability of diamond concentrations from a single site. In other words the results may not be straightforward. Furthermore there will be a need to investigate more even at sites where we have diamond indicators but at a marginal level. Thus hits at one or more sites could easily result in a continuing news blackout as this is just the start of a process which could take some time in order to fully ascertain what we actually have . Rio or whoever isn't just going to drop half a billion into the Profs lap if we find a new diamondiferous kimberlite pipe. One hopes that the Prof will do the decent thing by PIs and make a news release however a move of this sort may or may not be in the interests of a buyer so a big find with continuing investigations may result in a no news scenario. Unfortunately this is the same behaviour that we might expect in the event of a no find. There is no such thing as easy money. Holding here may become stressful to say the least especially for PIs in this scenario. One potential outcome which may be more tolerable for PIs is a scenario where we sign some sort a JV deal to carry out these further investigations as this will potentially allow a news announcement.
2. Ireland is more or less the same, whatever the results and we have a reasonable expectations for them to be positive there will need to be a drilling campaign which will need to be planned and permitted as well as funded. In Ireland we do at least have the relationship with CGNR and thus Demir whereby the current accord could potentially be co-opted to fund and execute whatever additional further exploration and development activities were needed (assuming we have an economic find).
So in summary, no news might be good news , it might also be bad news. Furthermore we won't even have the luxury of what Oscar Wilde famously quoted as "Being far better informed albeit non the wiser" instead we could get left wholly in the dark and for some time.
For the LTH this will be par for the course although the price action may cause traders to drift away. Even so this stock has the potential to light up spectacularly at any time. The caveat is that nobody knows when.
One final note of reassurance at our current price even at worst downside we do have the current mine project at Lahtojoki which is decent value in and of itself.
