I’d expect this price from a company losing money and closing shops, not one expanding globally. Someone is going to look a fool when the results come out, hopefully it’s not me.

Two wars almost ended, crazy tariffs not actually implemented, Q1 not that slow, inflation up slightly but still quite low, oil price reasonable. Now almost at its pandemic price when oil hit $100, they couldn’t even open the shops, Russia invaded Ukraine and inflation went soaring. Can only laugh really.

N08 it is not just the Middle East, all over Asia, Eastern Europe etc. you can buy a qualification and 2 years work experience for a few hundred £££, do a 12 weeks training course training course on what you really need to know, get a job and come here on a work visa and after 5 years get ILR and a year after that, citizenship. Quite common with carers, catering, butchers, low level engineering and certainly not something I would single India out on (although they are certainly part of it). I have nothing but respect for anyone who pulls it off, it is for the companies to do proper due diligence, can’t blame the people looking for a better life and many of them end up the victims of scams, trafficking etc.

Because I am saying how it looks. The guy is Indian and he ‘misunderstood’ his qualification which made himself seem more qualified than he was (the qualification was also gained in India). The accounts are now badly wrong. It is far more reputationally damaging for the company and you know why.
