The price can go up as fast as it goes down, Ocado 26/2-26/3 went from £3.30 to £2.20 to £3.00. Crazy movements. A few calming words across the pond, a decent quarter and things can look very different here. I still think this is a big recovery play for next year (by Sept/Oct), after the big sporting events, trump behaving, no more wars, £1bn profit for the first time, £2 a share, lovely stuff… however I also thought that 80p region was the right entry point. This year was looking like a write off from early Feb but unless things are much worse than expected and they do need to close stores, which I don’t think is the case, I remain confident long term but frustrated that I missed an opportunity to have acquired cheaper.

Like I said, hope it comes good for you and anyone else… you’ve got your money where your mouth is and I respect that. But when you’re literally giving it large all day every day and making out huge offers are coming and everything is such low risk then you should at least expect people to point out that these offers aren’t guaranteed and there is still substantial risk, whether that’s for your benefit or the benefit of others, and not everyone who does so is a clown, even if I might be. You’ve lost 30% today, that was your lesson, hopefully you get it back with much more on top.

Mate your going on about £2 a share a few days ago and the price is now 28p 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just hold your hands up buddy, “sorry I got a bit excited and carried away, I have called it wrong but still hoping for the best” no shame in that.

I reckon the opening offer lands somewhere between 140–160, but the board won’t bite easily. Realistically, I think they’ll feel pressure to accept something in the 185–200 range.

That’s the real opportunity here!! strip out the short-term noise and negative sentiment and it’s clear as day. The company isn’t distressed, it’s not going bust and the SP is completely detached from reality. This isn’t some AIM lifestyle outfit, it’s an ex-FTSE 100 engineering powerhouse. The ones with patience, research, and a bit of sense will clean up here.

No you lost 30% whether you like it or not. For the record, I genuinely hope this comes good for holders; with a good offer or recovery play and we all make a packet. But I am not the one spending all day everyday giving it large calling everyone clowns and trying to make out huge offers are guaranteed. And if I was, and it dropped 30%, I’d be saying ‘my bad I was wrong there’ or just keeping my mouth shut. Only one clown here I’m afraid.
