Vietnam is sending a trade delegation to the US this weekend, Bloomberg has reported, as its attempts to secure a reprieve from massive tariffs.

Time will tell, it could also be as transparent as Trump a made out in that he simply wants manufacturing back in the US, in which case Nike are going to have to stump up some ££ to appease Trump and buy themselves some time and concessions.

Money talks… like I said last night the real questions here are what Trump wants and whether he will get it. A military base with nukes on the China border is a bit of a stretch of the imagination (although no doubt he would if he thought he could) but political influence within those countries, control, keeping these countries distant from China, who really knows what is going on.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Trump wants to build a massive military base and hold a couple of nuclear weapons in Nortern Vietnam right on the China border.
