The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
"...already in the public domain....", so where's the point?
"....offers shareholders to quiz CB....", so what he says is meaningless?
"Every aspect of the current portfolio of BZT is discussed...." then make it public. If not, why not?
It is called transparency.
Just for interest. What qualifies as insider trading.
"Insider trading is the trading of a company's securities by individuals with access to confidential or material non-public information about the company. Taking advantage of this privileged access is considered a breach of the individual's fiduciary duty."
I ask again, will the notes of the call with CB yesterday be made public on this board?
nickwindows,
You might have missed a few!

Just how many jobs does one man need?
Being a bit lazy GrowthmanPO!
Melrose web site, Announcements, all, 3rd March, access doc via National Storage! Tell you all you want to know.
Alternatively keep up with RNSs.
Quite simple really!
Merlin2014,
I too was in BMR, now Kendrick, and yes the royalty was supposed to provide some income but the obfuscation was such that personally I never believed it would come to anything. Borelli gave the company to JLP, complete nonsense.
The thing about the Mid-Week Roast (also sunday and any other) is that it is a PR operation, the clue is in the name "Roast PR Ltd".
Until I see or hear it in an RNS, frankly what ever is said has to be taken with the classic "pinch of salt".
I do wonder how much "Roast PR Ltd" is paid by CB companies to broadcast this stuff.
MC was also at one time CEO of Caerus who had a joint venture with Bezant, which came to nothing. Check Caerus and Bezant RNSs.
I do not question MC's background as a geologist.
My point is that he is MD, an executive director role, in another CB company, Kendrick Resources, which is Nordic based, whilst working in Africa with other CB companies.
Guys,
I have consistenty said that CB is spread too thinly .
Look at his companies (web sites) and particularly their structure; XTR - 21 , GLR - 17 , Ken - 2 AFP - 5, BZT - 5.
You can argue that the web sites are not up to date, then why not? Task that slipped off the radar maybe.
Multiple companies/operations/projects across the continents, I don't care how good you are, this is too many.
He can spin with Roast/Mid week all he likes but shareholders and the market see through this.
CB needs to start thinking seriously about getting some management into these companies, but not like MC, MD of Ken (Scandinavia) but also working in Africa, how does that work?
Mr T,
What is the point of a conversation with CB? What could he say that wasn't said in the PR mid-week earlier this month which went down really well!!!!
I don't know of a CB company where shareholders are rubbing their hands with glee, most are pretty much disillusioned, waiting, waiting, waiting!
Maybe it's us, the shareholders, who are expecting too much too soon, but CB has been known to "over egg the pudding" in the past, across the board!
"Right individuals in place across all his companies......"
Problem is that a lot of those capable people are sread over many of CB's companies. Do a spreasheet, companies, obviously not all 20 +, across the top, list of directors against each company below and look for commonality!
Succession planning, I hope not! Just be another CB, spread so thin he would be hardly visible, as CB is!
MD of a company in the Nordic area and talking about Zambia, how does that work?
What CB’s companies need is individual attention, not “today is Wednesday so it must be TIR” or such like. Less of the thin spread and more attention to getting some shareholder returns, sadly lacking across the board of CB companies currently.
