The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
3card, you are certainly not alone, a lot of investors share your pain from personal experience, including me.
Can someone please explain to me how one man, Colin Bird, can effectively manage 35 (thirty five) companies?
That is the number of current directorships Colin Bird holds. (Kendrick Resources, Prospectus page 367) public domain, Kendrick Resources web site.
Not all are "public", some are "private", but it is still one heck of a number.
Any one want to play "Directorships" Top Trumps?
If our MP's get caught with two jobs we go ape s**t.
There are only so many hours in a day!
Suggestion.
Whilst letting off steam, well deserved, on this board, it is not really achieving a great deal.
Why not move over to KEN.
LSE are still working on getting the company name right but the ticker is certainly Kendrick Resources.
Letting off steam, careful with the language, on that board will probably reach a larger audience.
Up to you folks.
I don't know if anyone, including the direrctors, have read all 392 pages of the Prospectus, I certainly haven't.
However, flicking through and picking up on a few bits, I notice that Colin Bird is paid £18k per annum. He is also paid £2.5k per month as a consultant (Colin Bird Services)! Sorry, how does that work? Surely as the ONLY executive director, ALL the others are non-executive, it is his job to bring all his skills and experience to the benefit of the company, and shareholders, so why should he be awarded/rewarded above his salary? Page 368, section 7, sub 7.2.
Page 367 lists all 35, yes thirty five, directorships colin bird currently held or has held over the last five years. Where does he find the time?

Charles,
A significant number of BMR shareholders would quite happily remove Borrelli's manhood as he was "in charge" when it went all t*ts up!
It is a real kick in the teeth that he is back as a director of Kendrick.
Bird has more shares in Kendrick than Pursuit.
What really concerns me is who is pulling the strings. CB not the time to review the deals and documents with all "his" companies, so who is the power behind this front man?
Summit, to assist in the understanding of the history of the company I thought this brief extract from the 392 page Kendrick Resources PLC Prospectus may help.
Page 54, Directors, Colin Bird, 4th para
"Colin Bird founded and floated Jubilee Metals Group plc."

Bring,
Exactly how and when did you " made it clear I was stepping away from BMR Watch to focus on other things"
I don't remember seeing anything like that.
Thanks Gloster, now I understand.
Question, there is only one executive director, Bird, all the others are non-execs. Please don't tell me that Bird put the 390 page document and detailed power point prsentation together; if not Bird, who? three of the non-execs have been on board only since Feb 2022. To sign it off he would have to read it and understood it! Wonder when that happened?
Bearing in mind all the other companies BIrd is involved with and the not inconsiderable agreements/contracts/geogpraphies etc etc that they all appear to be working on/in, I have to question exactly what does Bird do! I have thought he is a "front man" but if so, who is pulling the strings?
BZT/JLP - jv in cyprus with CMRS
XTR - possible deal with AA
AFP - deals with quantum and Sandfire (see RNS today)
GLR - multiple geographies etc etc
We complain when our MPs have two jobs, Bird puts all of them to shame. That is not counting all the private companies he is a "director" of, (see BZT report ).
I think we can now be sure that the "Royalty" has gone despite any indication/hope otherwise.
Bird gets shares worth approx £1.4m, more than Pursuit. Can't sell for 12 months but so what!
If anyone thinks they are going to get 0.035p per share, I think they are dreaming.
E&OE
Gloster, what "next month"?
Please share as we are all on tenterhooks!
Evan Kirby, listed as a director of Beazant, Jubilee and Anglo Tanzania Gold. Keep it in the family or not sufficiently busy elsewhere!
Charles Lott, many directorships but not related to Bird companies.
Companies House info, public domain.
Was I think 3card, resigned September 2021. Companies House info public domain.
Also does not appear on the Expediator web site.
Happy for correction if I am wrong.
Kendrick have gained a secretary, Charles Lott, and another director, Evan Kirby. Other directors are Bird, Borrelli and Thygesen; Borrelli, Lott and Kirby were appointed on Feb 9th 2022, a busy day!. Companies House public domain.
Alex Borrelli is actually non-executive chairman of GGP. Alex is also a director of Bradda Head Lithium Limited (on AIM), Red Rock Resources plc (on AIM) and Tiger Royalties and Investments plc (on AIM). Taken from the GGP web site. Public domain.
Companies house shows Michael Alexander Borrelli a Director of Kendrick Resources, but this is not confirmed on the company (Kendrick Resources) web site, no surprise there!
Any bets on when, year not month, we get re-listed and how much more money is paid to Pursuit who must be pretty hacked off at the length of time this "sale" is taking!
Which decade did you have in mind?
Have a look at their web site (ex BMR) for info on this. Running v late and costing far more than originally planned!
Also see Pursuit, the sellers, Australian company.
dorfan01, would you care to expand/explain:-
"A bad contract with BMR was corrected when Jubilee pleaded their case to the Zambian authorities and we will as shareholders soon experience great growth from deals since done in Zambia. The latest tax announcement from the Zambian authorities is another massive benefit for Jubilee."
Thanks
Pursuit Minerals Dec 21 Quarterly Activities Report. (Issued 27/01/2022)
Have a look at the above! More delays, more money!!!!
CB in multiple listed companies (BZT, GLR, JLP, XTR, AFP & TIR) this does not include Kendrick, plus multiple "private" companies. Just where is his focus, it can't be on ALL his companies?
No, probably lost interest!!!!
Note relisting is running somewhat late - there's a surprise!
Happy New Year
Posts on his other companies, at least the public ones, are "pleading" for him to "focus" on them!
How does anyone "focus" on 5 companies?
BZT, GLR, AFP, TIR, XTR; and bring another, Kendrick, to market?
Don't get me started on his multiple "private" companies.
E&OE My views.
