agree with garyn - cant see why it would go to 20s on todays RNS - good to hear confirmation that they already had a strategy in mind but tbh would have expected no less. any ideas how long to get cash from chateaux on a final order? I would have thought this would have been the first money to be recovered

the trouble is that we don't know what tan's plans are? the board says he won't be in shareholders best interests...he will probably say that the present bod has done an awful job considering the fall in SP this year. in reality i suspect that due to the small pi float the decision rests in which way the big boys decide....and the bank holding tans previous shares could well be the decider. from my perspective it is a long month until the decision however it does give the bod time to recoup some of the arbitration award to support their campaign. hopefully they will be working hard on this to show that they are worthy of surviving. looking on the bright side if some of the award is recovered and the decision is made then the price should hopefully be on the way up as the company gets itself back on track. if the debt questions are resolved it would be another boost. then of course coal prices will come into play

agree that raifeissen could well be the key. they will presumably want to get maximum return on their shareholding so will choose accordingly garyn - if it goes private surely tan has to buy shareholders out at a premium?

have to say this was what i was most worried about when doing the research as i think they have a good chance of getting the arbitration award albeit maybe slowly. I did read Tan wants to go private - and this would seem to be his move. I suppose the worry is how he intends to get the shares off everybody. buying them at a premium would be nice! I can't see rothschild giving up without a fight and lets face it you wouldn't want to be up against him. I suspect it will be fought off but is not what the share needs right now

Garyn – I know you are not a deramper. I respect your writing and posting whether or not I agree with it - I thought the sharephrophets article was balanced and fair. Personally I don’t have a problem with posters writing negative stuff on shares I own if it is backed up with evidence or logic. I think this is what the boards should be about reasoning and the opportunity to learn from each other and it is important to look at shares from as many angles as possible.atb.

garyn - I have done a bit more research and found "Applications to enforce arbitration awards or to stay proceedings in favour of arbitration are regularly entertained by the BVI courts. " "The BVI courts respect the finality of arbitration awards and once satisfied that an award has been properly granted, they will not deprive the recipient from being able to enforce the award. " I am trying to wade through a SIAC case that they supported at the moment....initially the web page gave me access but when I returned it shout me out as it is for lawyers!

thanks garyn! just checked that Singapore arbitration have enforced awards in Indonesia before. - lets hope he;s kept some of the swag there!

agreed. However the choice of arbitration route and venue seems positive to that end. can I ask you what sources you used to read up on the history of the company? I need to do more research!

I don't think british virgin islands is on there. I seem to recall reading that Singapore was 3rd or 4th favourite choice of arbitration. Isn't it also indonesias's top foreign investor? so again more clout? reading into it seems that arbitration was quite a wise decision to go down in trying to secure the money rather than other types of court

garyn - Indonesia is also covered under new York convention. I suspect the choice of Singapore as the arbitration court was made with a view to it being well respected and close to where assets might be?

garyn - doesn't the new York convention cover recovery in 145 countries worldwide? since Singapore is a member then it shouldn't be a problem recovering monies from any of the other 144 (including Italy)?
