good well balanced post evilplum I found leni to be upbeat but quite frankly that his job - he is a salesman. I still maintain that if we already have access to billions of barrels of oil we need to focus on getting it out rather than buying more acreage. I believe the company will be a lot more successful with a few thousand barrels a day extraction that more licences containing a zillion. if my recent heavy investment in CERP formally LGO one of lenis companies that was run into the ground has taught me anything is that I am not sure his team are the best when it comes to producing. The progress with real oil men in charge of good assets has been astronomical. I would love to see DOR with a similar makeover. Hopefully Angus will prove more successful. I wasn't comfortable with lenis comment that his focus is on ASX now - he seems to have given up a bit on NEX/ISDX - I remember all his talk last year on how ISDX was going to get bigger and he even stated how he got one firm up and running in a day. whether we like it or not NEX is what anyone in this country wishing to trade shares in DOR has to use. After the initial excitement of the launch on ASX it has rather gone flat down under.

remember the big picture is about production - and we are slowly but surely getting there. Any rise from ASX is just a bonus.

wolf - 60p ish is my break even. until then i am keeping my feet on the ground. It could get there with ASX and lidsey but there could be several resistance points on the way . Some long term holders like myself are possibly going to have an interesting decision. Get my stake back (pride) or let it ride (greed)..... wish we had a clearer timeline on brockham great couple of days though.

maytheforce - My suspicion is that one of the main reasons behind ASX listing was for placings. It is what Leni does. He has had the initial IPO and now I would like to see him hold off. get income in from production and then use that to buy more weald - although hopefully by that time I will be out of DOR! - i know there are a few on here who would like me to leave asap! lol

agree with wolf....lets just get production going and cash in. We have a big enough share in the weald that if the quantities we all hope are recoverable then the SP will spark into life. I want some jam today. More assets will mean more dilution - be careful what you wish for. Cant see the listing being earlier. they only closed 3 days earlier than expected - would be too much hassle to change dates. not worth it in my opinion. they made the point by saying it closed early

I dont think it will move the share at great speed today it says is lidsey is on track but brockham is delayed. market expected lidsey to be on track and delays are never good - even though logic said it was going to happen possibilty of selling surplus electricity to national grid - but nothing indicating how much - so cant get too excited

wolf - agree that they will place. say they did it at 5p tomorrow (just an example not based on any knowledge) then I could see the price is dropping there pretty quickly Also agree that it is a long time for the SP to erode. add in any licences that need extending and/or approvals needed and possible delays etc etc Without production and income the valuation is purely on sentiment. That can easily and quickly change. on the flip side if we are producing from brockham in great quantities then it could support their SP Really hard to put a price on UKOG but that is what makes it extrememly risky at present

interesting analysis wolf - thanks I agree that I think UKOG will drop - too high with no income and not near production. I wouldn't argue with your valuations on DOR and ANGS on initial production assuming good results. They are figures i Could easily see on AIM - not sure of the NEX effect though! that is my only worry. I am sure it would happen at some time but not sure how soon.

Wolf - I agree menu is a factor. What I am no longer so convinced on is if he is good factor. Ukog have done much better without him . I personally trust angs more than for. Having been in and out a few times. Not sure I would want to be in them at present. I do think Dor is currently the most reasonably valued at this stage ( pre production) . If it was on aim I wonder consider topping up. Not Interested in using nex. Only my opinion. Your mileage may differ.

Jamzyee - if you look back I did predict there would not be much of a reaction to the RNS . The SP has not reacted positively to any of the ASX annoucements. Could be the NEX effect or could be the market just doesn't value ASX or more than likely the combination. Would there have been more of a reaction had we been on AIM? interesting question I still think the RNS on early completion was a good move to generate interest down under - especially if there were punters who applied and then didnt get an allocation. I suspect the ASX listing will happen before production news - so it will be interesting what the reaction to the listing is both here and down under.

Personally I don't see any problem with aim. It is just some of the fraud companies on them and the way it is traded with pump and dump which means that a good rns often leads to do dropping.The price goes up with more buys and down with more sells. Sure the mm can manipulate but that is their way of making money. Good companies like echo will always come good with time.

Why wouldn't you want AIM? The ability to trade online easily... we wouldn't certainly have had some movement to interest or play with. The other Weald players seem to be doing well on it.

a e marsh - haha...that made me laugh. I don't see anything to suggest that you won't be able to buy at the same price on monday. Assuming the minimum subscription is satisfied I would expect an RNS possibly next friday to confirm this and confirm the date of ASX listing. Since news on ASX has not influenced the SP positively so far - I wouldn't expect much of a reaction with this. First day of trading could be interesting if the demand was greater than the offer. Since we don't know what marketing was done down under this is hard to predict. My guess is that any real movement will be with hype nearer oil production or an RNS on this. and We still got several weeks for that. After the last couple of years of waiting for many on here - not much longer
