we opened up and i do think would have got some upward momentum had the market not been hit all round ... not saying the future is rosy but we were due a bounce

i am wondering if 11am presentation on covid will have a recovery effect or make it worse ..

well opened well but got dragged down by the market- typical hur timing as usual

greg - the marketmakers will have tried to balance their books...so in an ideal world (for them) the buy(s) were equal to the sell(s). It could be a large transaction countered by a number of smaller opposing transactions.

chesee- i am hoping for a bounce this week towards 3.5p.

could get interesting if there is a notification and the 26 million was a buy...

rumour has it that trice and CA are mounting a hostile takeover at these low prices to buy the company back - remove kerogen and cronies - and prove that the original CPR was correct...Oh and they are going to get " a bigger boat" and it is not for the giant squid

I hope i am wrong about those companies otherwise (a lot of ) people could lose (a lot of) money. this is not good as ultimately it kills the goose as less want to invest money in future. time will tell and i will be the first to admit it if i got it wrong

well if that "sell" resulted in 5% increase lets have one every day please. Firstly are we sure it was a sell? Secondly I suspect trice cant sell until his hush period is over. No point paying him off then allowing him to sell.

slift - totally agree on sacking people with the convenient excuse of covid....I always thought brexit was going to be used for any unpopular decisions.....it seems covid is an even better excuse

Gwalia.. I suspect the average memory in aim is very weak.. Prob because new investors come in lose and disappear... I have been trying to work out this week why companies like alba/ecr/ggp are becoming popular.. They have been around years never had a proper income and I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole... I bet many of the investors have never looked at their histories...

Yellowman... I suspect a lot of companies are using the end of furlough scheme to cutback payroll... Let's face it a lot of jobs will go with covid as an excuse. In my opinion it is going to get worse... A loss of office staff may not be that bad if true... As long as the workers on the rig are still employed!

I have seen hur kinda oscillate in a narrow range after large drop before...i wondered if it is to manage the fluity/volatility. my guess is that after some stagnation this will rise up towards 3.5p without any sign/reason. I question whether it will/can maintain that price - but that would be good news for traders if hits and drops - rinse and repeat.

only a guess and the strategy i am working on. I probably have a 90% success rate on my trading pots but the trouble is when you hold and devasating news comes out out of the blue (trice out/ significant downgrade due/ interfrerence) you lose more in opening minute with your large long term invetment pot than from the 20 small well worked successful trades!

daniel - trice would have to notify at various levels. I suspect that he won't be allowed to sell until after his 6 month hush period has ended. Be interesting to see what he does then. I suspect he will sell just regardless if there is any promise or not. I can't see him wanting to supoort current board

Spike - from memory in the presentation 10,000 barrels for break even at $40 - so anything above and they are making a profit. You are right that this does not pay for the bonds but if hur can continue these could be refinanced

dark - that is a very good question. My continued defence of the share at the time was that trice was the expert and had all the data....ummmmm

jiffy - ggp are valued at almost a billion - how much income have they got? hur was also worth over a billion pre income and look at them now. i would suggest anyone in GGP look very closely at it. I was in them years ago and at that time they seemed a typical jam tomorrow aim company. i made good profit trading at the time - maybe they have changed, i dont know.

Yes CA are traders...i guess we all are just depends on the timeframe....unless you trade at some stage how are you going to make money? the point is at whatever price they paid last friday they think they are going to get a return on it.

i am not convinced of hur as a long term investment at the moment. hoiwever i do believe there will be more twists and turns in the story....and definitely money to be made trading

GGP - do they actually have any income? worth almost a billion???? the smart money has been made in my opinion. I really hope a lot of people dont get burnt..i traded them years ago for good profit but never believed they would ever deliver anything. mind you havent kept up to date

Apache - in my opinion i think it is pretty much priced in that spirit will not proceed. If there was an update that they were going to then that i think that would definitely give an SP uplift.
