There is always the theory that the bod run down the company/sp to sell privately to someone for the assets......of course CA maybe taking a gamble on putting a spanner in the works....though the bod could dilute the hell out of hur anyway?

personally I would have bet on some sort of placing coming to fund next year's work - but they clearly know something more

bot - i agree the bod are pretty much inept. they said forward plan by december and we still don't know what the plan is.
I could have easily accepted a serious downgrade of halifax but not zero. halifax was always considered the big one so one would expect at least the same concentration as lincoln and lancaster.

if the bod wanted to destroy the company - they couldn't have gone about it in a better way.

only now - able to buy £17k at 92p

same here could sell £44k no problems but not even buy £1 - through HL.

jonno - agreed. the hope was that the CPR was going to improve on hur's position from the kitchen sink. so it was a big deal.

some things still bugging me? the company already had the data and had presumably analysed it by their own site staff. they surely must have had an idea of what the CPR would be? we were given the bait of "significant" sandstones etc

a) were they wrong about the sandstone ?
b) what was the intention behind paying for the CPR?

they must have paid for why pay money to confirm the crap you already know?

halifax was certainly not expected to go to zero? even it were to be more of a gamble (%cos) with potentially less rewards..but zero?

really? we had a nice rise on Tuesday which he didn't manage to ruin. The share always seems to do much better without any news "help" from ODX.

luckydog - i am a disgruntled old investor. however i hope the company turns it around as i would be very happy to re enter once forward plan/ finance is sorted and there is some picture of hur going forward from this.

i doubt a handful of realistic/ negative posters on here make any difference to sp - though i think any new investors are owed the polar view from 15p by friday etc!

i waited all 2020 - figuring by the law of averages a good rns had to arrive at some point.

awk - i think there is possibly a lot of merit in your post. I will be very interested to see if halifax now suddenly ends up with the big boys....i guess any major players in the area would benefit from either owning haslifax or putting it out of action.

Not strictly true - if HUR get wound up - which is what they have been warning of for awhile - any holder will likely lose everything. why i sold up in december after holding through bad rns after bad rns.

some of my share purchases were over 90% down. however 10% is better than nothing.

There may well be some twists and turns in the story - and some things do smell a bit fishy. When I told a friend about this company last september - his view was that the bod were running it down for a private take over on cheap. shareholders would get next to nothing.

the issue is that this bod do not seem interested/capable in putting forward plans into effect. it would seem that as long as they can draw a wage they are really not to fussed.

I can accept that lancaster has not been the success we had hoped for in terms of a full field development. though it has produced a fair bit of oil - so trice has been vindicated to a certain extent.
GWA was always the weakest prospect - and in hindsight they should have been less greedy and used the JV on halifax - but understandably wanted to keep that 100% hur

there is a lot of fishy smell about the whole thing - and it will be interesting to see where the assets finally end up and at what value

Halifax at zero is really puzzling/concerning me as this was always the big one...trice did get oil at Lancaster and Lincoln - even of the drills were ultimately probably in the wrong places. to now value at zero? sure there is more an exploration feel to any drill - though trice did say they had learnt a lot from lancaster and any future drills would be more accurate. i just dont see it

genghis - we haven't always seen eye to eye - but that is a good post.

i am pretty much the same as you - took a beating overall but hopefully the education will profit me in the long run (fingers crossed)

i trusted trice - a mistake. whether time will still prove him right or not - the lesson is dont trust anyone in this share game. however it is my responsibility as none made me click buy.

genghis - i do think the bod could have done more on the forward plan. especially as they must have known the rough extent of this cpr in advance. they needed a firm decision by xmas as they had previously stated they would and then go out and get the funding.
