It would be interesting if they thought breaking the company up would yield more than 35p ..but would not be a good look in terms of jobs

The cleaning lady could out deal ken and prob run the company better and not choose fake CFO.

There will be an rns on Thursday..saying Sid have given a conditional offer of 35p

The conditions will still be the accounts etc..so I don't know if an extension is needed or wood can just accept.

Share will go into suspension on 30th.

Accounts released maybe one or two months later and then out shares will be bought

Would have been nice to get 30p+ beforehand to sell and not have to sit in ..but the exodus had already started8.01 am yesterday.

You either sell now at 24p ISH or are stuck in if you want 35p.

Some will trade the oscillation before Thursday and maybe next week.

There is a small window of opportunity for someone else to come along..they know the price ..£450m cash to keep lights on and 35p to match.

tbh i suspect the break up value would be higher than 35p

the balance sheet will probably take a kicking in next accounts - but I would have thought assets would cover debt and more than £240 m

it is a pity john wood doesnt think about getting involved and restoring his legacy... his company his name will disappear if sid buy it

However I suspect the break up value would be greater than 35p per share. Not great for the employees.

rubbish. from what i have seen it goes to about 85% of the offer. you can get most of the cash straight away or wait around with possibly your money tied up. we should be at 29p ish...

this deal will go through - my guess is II already knew and have reluctantly gone for it...what is the alternative? diluted to hell ? and who is gonna trust the nero clown?

sid have got a huge bargain...in terms of what they offered last year.

the share will get suspended which is why it is not at 29p.

at this sp - it is probably worth sitting out the suspension.

i then revised this down to the lower mark as the best we could get with that awful update.

market very rarely gets it wrong - the sentiment that affected the sp was right. fundamentally the company is bankrupt and the financing that should have been a formality with - they cant get cos of mismanagement.

i had hoped ceo was just being belligerent with his answer to a potential placing - as it was it was because he got caught out and didnt want to confirm

the £450m cash injection will be their money into their company. nothing to do with us

it is just being put in so that everyone can tell how bad a state wood is - and this was the best deal they could get.

i suppose the only positive i can think of is that it also gives a figure to any other bidder - be prepared to sink £450m into the debt and then offer a premium to 35p if you want it.

the are going to put in £450 million - that is very different from saying it is worth it currently.

it is like me buying a car - i might upgrade everything but it is only worth what i am willing to buy it at
