The sp is down to retail getting out before suspension.

Understandable with the fear and no time line on suspension..however I feel many will have lost even more than they should have.

The results will be announced and suspension will be lifted and sid make a formal offer...there might not be the opportunity to get back in and sp should rise to 29p

The ii will just write off their investment ..tax loss against something they did make money on.

they could not say this so quoted geopolitics.

to be fair at the price they were originally offering - maybe external influences were more telling.

they have come back with the issues out in the open. they know full well the score having done DD and also seen review.

to say that new bod would immediately be trusted is a bit of a tall order. anyone financing after the recent debacles will want to see something concrete like the cash injection

no indication of an EGM - and anybody wanting one would need to start acting fast before the deal is done

yes they have to put £450m of cash in to secure finance - but how much could they raid from the pension or get back by selling assets.

James - i am not sure it was a long while back? If you remember i always suggested wood would get an offer of 90p +- 15% until the rns with confession of false info to accounts. I seem to remember you were saying for a long time that sid would be offering a lot more and only revised down after that rns

personally i am taking my forecast of 90p as very wrong - it is a 35p deal on the table

i am not sure we can say sid value wood at 85p

they value it at 35p and are willing to put £450m into it

it is a bit like me saying i will buy a house for X and improve it to the tune of y.

the house is still only worth x until i have made those improvements and then it will be worth y

sid are already getting wood for a steal.

they run the risk of losing out if they try and chisel abit more off

at 35p the bod are saving some face and can get II to agree

sid are trying to make themselves look good by saying how much they will plough into the business - even though it is smoke and mirrors and nothing to do with what they are currently valuing and offering for the business
