sneaky - the machinery is there and i doubt the gov will want it back. i suspect that odx will end up keeping it or get it cheap. they may even swop it for odd repackaging jobs.
if they ever use it they will be making money anyway so the cost would be somewhat offset.

i suspect after calamity's usual dour rns - and effect on sp - he couldn't then add anything that sounded positive. would be really bad in terms of market manipulation.

twatcher -you would hope that having got the contract of a lifetime - the details would be imprinted on colins brain. i suspect he might have been chasing the gov for an update for the presentation...got the runaround. and then double checked the status.

he admitted to some errors he had made in the presentation.....but this has been catastrophic. rns with his resignation tmrw would be the decent thing

they should have known the contract inside out before signing. they should have been pestering the gov to get it kicked in.
it should have been them forcing the gov to tell them it has expired and not going to be used not a lawyer on the cusp of interims

kate - if this drops low enough then it will be attractive to anyone wanting to gamble on an approval coming through. could be a spike. if they get self test approval then there will be possible contracts

computer - i think the gov have really screwed themselves with brit diagnostic companies. in any future plagues it may be hard to acquire stuff from companies already turned over odx/ncyt etc

the trouble is there will always be cheap chinese stuff waiting

is finncapp one of those services paid for by the company themselves - always have to be a tad careful on those.

colin by his own admission is not expecting significant revenue until 2023 on non covid portfolio. personally if he cant deal with uk gov i dont think he will find the chinese any easier...

the exclusivity would seem to suit dam more than odx - another contract where the other sides just says bend over and colin mumbles yes..."we are very pleased to...."
this is why i think colin would be in danger of doing it if self test came through for uk or eu. tbh i think he would prefer to not have the headache of trying to sell.....it gets him off the hook.

don't forget he has some man on the ground in usa - ready to do the work - if my hearing was correct......but my spurting over my laptop may have afffected the speakers

thing is colin is quite honestly rubbish with negotiations. gov contract. also dam - he has signed an exclusive eu deal with a company who only supply one country (spain)....ok they are expanding but why? clearly desperation

i suspect if they get self test they will probably just sign over everything to dam.....i guess if you are running a tin pot company with no revenue it will be transformational......but like every other adjective colin's definition seems to be slightly different than ours

flashy - i also heard that they consulted lawyer yesterday in preparation for interims. jeez..wish they bl**dy hadn't. i never thought i would say i would have much preferred "we are otimistic that talks will be concluded imminently"

i dont blame rampers - you have to do your own research and take responsibility for pressing the buy button . i thought the gov contract was as nailed on as you could get on AIM. i made excuses for director sales
but it was only after the very poor rns on gov contract that i started to get disilusioned with colin - that was stupid as you dont give the market a chance to kick you...in hindsight maybe he knew the contract was crap. i am amazed that he had to consult a lawyer yesterday . anyway it has been one red sign after another and should have sold yesterday.

the main thing is to reflect and learn for next time

ncyt - just got another CDTA approval - so may be an rns tmrw

trader - just wished i had chose an account with a bigger holding. my shares were in sipp/isa/trading account with HL and isa with halifax. i went for the halifax as HL seem to tend to play around a bit in my experience and halifax can be a bit illiquid. also thought it might go to nt so a small trade might go through whilst not a bigger one.

trader - i suspect that being in business for a long time they have a feel of what it should be....maybe from trading out of hours as well.
the market will then decide if they did too low or high..
for example today when i sold as quick as i could press the button it was 35p...i could not believe my luck...by the time i switched to another portfolio it was 33p..i hesitated and the next quiote was 27p. so the flood of sales quickly drove their opening gambit down

kate - if it cheers you up - i suspect i will be down a lot more tmrw morning. i suspect the first hour will be brutual so will have try my luck.
i am sorry you lost too.....tbh i only ever want people to do well on shares as i know how hard it is to put your hard earned cash in

luckily i am able at times to laugh in the face of adversity - i don't think the reality has really sunk in.
