i don't know about brokers - if they were trying to influence sp - i suspect they may have more sophisticated ways.

but would really need to see factual evidence ...rather than "i know a guy on an anon board who says so"

you hold shares in the company not p100...his integrity isn't the issue.

personally if he says he is holding...i don't know him but will go along believing him...but if he isn't it doesn't change whether his posts have merit or not.

it was the presentations that were pure vegan material. we waited 100 days for him to return from walkabout...then until april when the master plan was going to be revealed..

firstly - i suspect most regular poster lths on here already have their position with maybe the odd top up. so how much will a post on here affect them? I hold quite a chunk and am way down. I still believe a good result in the dispute is possible so have just tucked in bottom drawer. i suspect similar for others.

i suspect short term traders will do what they are going to do - despite noise on here. they may even participate with an agenda....but are they listening to others? i suspect they have their strategy already worked out

so that leaves the lurkers - very difficult to quantify how many they are and it is a big assumption that the number affected is going to seriously affect the SP.

another argument that listening to the negative posters eg p100 at £1.50 would have actually been in a much better position by selling and buying back cheaper...something i wish i had done.
ok one might argue that the negative posts drove sells and therfore the SP down. however it was always going to drop back if the company did not RNS with some news to support the rocket.

the reality is that if the company were being run properly - eg clear long term plan in lucrative fields, good PR, appearing on share investor podcasts etc etc
then nothing written negatively here could have any worthwhile impact

Val...posters post because of a variety of reasons. Someone negative may just be venting..or of course they may have a agenda to be negative on the share etc

I would say to have an agenda on here means that you must think your posting has an effect on others and or the sp.

Not everyone believes what is posted on an anon board has an effect on a £100 m company...or what should be.

I think also the argument of whether they have an agenda is infinitely less important than if there is merit in what they say.

I know it is not nice to hear bad things about a share you have hard earned money in but if you are getting that worried what someone says on an anon board...then really the issue is your confidence in the company.

Of course if people have an agenda on here they might want to portray positive or negative accordingly.
But you have to really decide what is the reality to then try to take advantage.

The problem is that whilst the CFO may be the most competent...he is not necessarily aligned with the shareholders.

He got a placing away...after the sh rejected first attempt. He did what he needed to put cash in bank...but it has destroyed any idea of sp rising to the infamous 12p touted on here by some. As it turns out the company didn't need the cash...so possibly a lot of sh pain could have been avoided. As well as the destruction of trust by a) denying they needed a placing whilst hawking around the bucket shop flippers and b) getti a placing rejected to then go and do it by the back door on 2nd attempt

He has cut costs by disposing of assets...but one could argue that some are at the expense of future prospects.

still can't believe what a shocker the rns was yesterday - just for anyone who missed it. here are my highlights again

We were told that the good thing about dumping the more prestigious parts of the portfolio is that the sole focus was on snake oil..so pretty shocking and very worrying

2) “ This will result in an EBITDA loss from continuing operations of c. £1.0 million. Year-end cash levels are expected to remain substantial and will be c. £5.0 million,”

So the predicted loss of £0.5m has increased to £1m ..even though recently they were talking about break even or profit according to some on here . How has this come about so recently?
Why did they not know before?. How is the company being run?

£6.5m cash to around £5m…why? If losses are £1m. how much is a corby trouser press these days?

3) “ a capital investment programme of c. £1m can be delivered from existing funds and deliver improvements once executed next year.

So cash will be £4m next year . no guarantee of profits
