Yeah, another raise is my main worry, but I see it as less than 50% chance at the moment. I was slightly alarmed at just how much cash they've burned through; as highlighted by Paul Scott on Stockopedia.

Well, it's technically bottomed. Time will tell if it holds...

Well done. That is incredible. It shows patience. It's difficult to reproduce that performance though. Not even Warren Buffett has been able to do that consistently. I could list >100 companies where I've watched people invest for the 'long-term' into micro-cap companies, only to lose all their money. 'Hope' is not an investment style.

Everybody is free to choose their own investment style and to add liquidity into the market. I do not even mind the shorters, if it wasn't for their devious de-ramping. Personally, I occasionally go short the index myself...

What nonsense. Everybody is invested here for 1 reason. To sell higher than they bought. The only difference is the time frame and volatility.

It's possible to both make or lose money in both short and long time frames.

I know some LTHs who lose money and some who make 8-10% a year, while I also know some traders who lose money (most of them), while I also know some that consistently make >100% annualised returns on big portfolios. There is absolutely no guarantee that a LTH will make money.

Awsome rise on BTC and ETH since the microcrash last night. ost BTC miners have had a very nice day indeed.

@Fire: Are you saying that it's silly to risk-manage trades; i.e. to trim a position when the market conditions change?

I've struggled for months to understand why ARB has move independently of BTC. My conclusion is that it's either the persona of UK vs US traders/investors OR that it's being manipulated or perhaps a bit of both. My watchlist has 13 crypto stocks, mostly miners, but only ARB is down today. That says that something is not right. It's not spreading FUD. I'm spreading fact. Perhaps it's just the unique situation of the NASDAQ listing.

Personally, I'm a believer in ARB, but what controls my position size is the correlation that I see against BTC and the general market conditions, sentiment, etc., rather than love for the company. I'll add back a significant chunk if it tanks tomorrow or will just ride up what I have.

A bit of a let-down that every other miner is up heavily today (e.g. HIVE: +11%, HUT: +10%,...), while ARB is down. Not spreading FUD, just stating facts. Personally I'm holding a half-sized ARB position; am holding more in RIOT and MARA. Will adjust if I see decent volumes.

The average holding time for RIOT is about 5 days. Our holding time is much longer, but I expect it to drop significantly once on NASDAQ. We're going to attract day-traders like flies to dogshi*... that's fine by me, the more liquidity the better.

I averaged-down my 'big' trade yesterday and a smaller one this morning. It looks like it might have bounced now, but I guess we'll have to wait a few days to be sure. Either way, I'm happy to hold GOG for as long as it takes and would consider doubling again if it ebbs lower.

FYI @Porsche: I have no problem with people shorting something. I occasionally go short on the index myself via put options; it's more the subtle style of your comments...

Whenever anybody mentions 'loving' a share I always hear Peter Lynch in the back of my head: "Don't ever fall in love with a share, because it doesn't know you own it and it's never going to love you back"...

I agree - it's painful to wait, but I am sure that everbody wants Dundas to succeed. Two directors bought in August, (B. Stensgaard: £18,765 and J. Hansen: £30,888). Furthermore, it's looking like it's reached a new plateau.

I added a decent chunk myself this week in expectation that a Dundas RNS will drop in the next few months, fingers crossed.

I think this dog has some time to run yet. It's nice as a trade or long-term (I do both).

It's nearly impossible to find anything like this in the Canadian/US markets and it's a decent one within the UK market.

That was my point here; that with this new technology, Rainbow also will not just be a mining company - they will also produce the end product or very close to it. But they are at marginally more than 1/3 of the PRE market cap, which has relevance. As mentioned, I am long both of these.

@Porsche is shorting ASOS - simple as that. It's so incredibly obvious. I'll bet he has another ID to ramp it when it switches direction. Except that he might have been caught with his pants down this time. He he!

My wife ordered some stuff from Shein and it took 2w to arrive... ASOS on the other hand has a *much* bigger range and is v. quick. Not to mention, that ASOS is expanding into the US and that is priced at zero in the market cap.

I would not buy even 1 share in Shein if it goes to IPO, for the simple reason that you're not buying equity in the Chinese company; you're buying a share in a shell company listed in the Cayman islands, which is the situation with all Chinese chares sold outside China.

100% of Shein's clothes are made in China and transported to the UK/US etc. - that is going to to hit them massively on transport costs, even more so than Boohoo and ASOS.
