23% is a huge holding , a few loyal shareholders support him and there is almost zero chance of him being removed.

Somebodies selling them , or did Kelso hold a few back to sell on the market to boost the coffers?

If i was as Kelso 2 subscription holder, i would be selling two thirds at 6p and above, 3 times my investment.

I would put half of those proceeds in the bank and the other half i would buy THG.

But thats just my thoughts, i am sure most will hold their Kelso shares and only some will take the 200% profit in a few trading days.

The Kelso guys make money if the Kelso Share price goes up and they make money if the THG share price goes up.

They make the most money if they manage to get a piece of THG at a great price.

More than one way to skin a cat as it were.

I see these investors in Kelso as more than a few guys having a punt.

Having said that, just to add that KLSO is far more than John Goold and it has attracted some well known heavy hitters as investors and I'm sure they know exactly what the potential here represents.

TBF its vehicle that has been set up by ‘whales’ to target THG, the key players know the business very well , who knows where it will end up, but it's not an investment fund in the normal sense.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they have one or two of they key shareholders already warned up, ( and that could include MM of course).

But as you say feet on the ground

They did say in the RNS , that the revenue would be higher quality and higher margin, it is ,as you say, not tenable to bring new clients on on the old terms.

I am confident they won't and the new deals will look much different.

Band together to invest in and cause mayhem around THG, undervalued they say, building blocks in place for great 2023 they add and finally acknowledge that the transition form great entrepreneur to CEO of a major quoted company is difficult.

Not too mention, look at that bit called Nutrition could do well..wink wink

Perhaps, MM fools another bunch of greedy idiots who have no idea what they are doing, those investors should be protected.

I also like very much these two statements on the Kelso RNS

Kelso believes that the THG Board's actions, through the new chairman Charles Allen, Lord Allen of Kensington CBE, to improve governance and expand the executive team will pay dividends in 2023. We think that the recent appointment of Damian Saunders as CFO, previously a senior partner at Deloitte, as announced on 24 January 2023, is positive, especially given his knowledge of THG having been involved with the 'separation' project which formally gave the three main divisions their own corporate independence.

John Goold, CEO of Kelso commented:

"Matthew Moulding, a British entrepreneur, started THG from scratch in 2004, which has grown to over £2.0bn of revenue, employing c.8,000 employees the majority of which are in the UK. This transition from entrepreneurial start up to a large listed corporate is never easy but we think THG is now putting in all the building blocks to achieve the success it deserves.”

I think these statements sum up very well the changes that are underway and will continue.

It looks to me that it has been set up specifically to invest into THG, presumably MM knows the key players well from the float of THG.

The Kelso 4 founders have excellent pedigrees , thumbs up indeed.

They raised 3 million ton new cash and put 2.7 into THG..big vote of confidence.

To me it says full steam ahead on ingenuity and tech development, that is alongside the new relationship posted today.

Thoughts about mothballing and shrinking back to nutrition IMO are way off the mark.

This article made me chuckle, peace talks with ULVR current M Cap 102 Billion, GSK Current market cap 58 billion, THG Current M cap 700 million...

ULVR up 5% 1year
GSK down 20% 1 Year
THG down 66% 1 Year.

So they sold down on THG thats their investment decision, but to link THG with ULVR is just Daft IMO, I wouldn’t be surprised if he person at the times, who calls THG the shed had a hand in it

If they don't see value here or don't want to soil their hands dealing with MM, someone else will ( if there is value)

BTW i see the actions taken by MM and his team and TGL will allow the others to deal with this shocking company !!

one theory might be you can’t issues shares for the staff pot, if a corporate action is brewing...
