Lest not forget that Lex in the FT gave a throwaway valuation on Ingenuity of £500 million so if you don't want to believe MM, why not go with LEX..

I think its the true growth value after all the investment and development of the software wholly owned by THG, the global partnership with Autostore, when looking at the other global partners it pays a huge compliment to ingenuity to be on that list.

And the pay per pick model is unique as far as i can see.

The Apollo bid puts minimum price of £ 2 on any deal before December and if there is a corporate action they will back at the table, also IMO they will be buyers of THG at these levels.

I bought Friday at 60p and i will be back in Monday morning for more..

SIH - Both things happened.

IMO Apollo and their meeting with THG to improve terms mean that THG has real value.

It's interesting that again IMO it was the fact that Apollo wanted to be able to deals over nutrition and beauty that stopped the talks not the quantum involved.

I fully expect more action by others and or Apollo.

The Balderton guys that put all the cash into shares on their own accounts at likely very good averages ,certainly less that 70p, they will sell in a heartbeat if a decent offer comes along they will make a lot of money as will all newish entrants.

THG is most certainly in play and lets not forget Apollo are the best in the business, if they want THG everyone knows that its worth a lot more than todays SP.

Golden share as everyone says is key.

Finally MM has form for leaving PE at the alter as he posted, can lightening strike twice.!!

The 2.8 from Apollo is interesting it gives them quite a few options to come back before the 6 months expire.

IMO there is much to play for, and i agree the offer would be generous , they were going to do some fancy accounting, that i am sure would get very close to a decent SOTP valuation.

They most likely had entities lined up to take equity stakes in Nutrition and beauty, Apollo see value in Ingenuity.

The equity stakes would probably get close to the cost of the deal , Apollo would be left with Ingenuity and equity Stakes in Nutrition and beauty.

This is worth much more than the current SP, hostile can come along after the GS expiry.

I bought more first thing and am ready to buy right the way back down if that happens..

It sounds like the bid was quite high, given the Ingenuity valuation put on it by Apollo, we are going to see better value in the SP quite quickly IMO

Sounds like apollo wanted ingenuity and the ability to sell nutrition and beauty..i have always believed the propriety software and the autostorse partnership with two full automated warehouse and a few empty ones are wroth a lot ..

was it accidental or on purpose, the ‘reveal was a couple words in a bit in the Daily mail, could easily have been ignored IMO

High stakes being played for and both sides are no fools and if they had hoped to collude and have a done deal that could be hurried through, then that ship has sailed IMO

IMO the rise to 117 was the shorts buying to get out, they have crashed out , they didn’t reduce slowly , they haven't hung around to read any smoke signals they crashed out.

The rest of the action has mainly been II’s position themselves al a vanguard

This is the price action of a company ‘in play’ and all are waiting to see the next move and then decide their course of action.

80p for the SOFTP is crazy low and all know it, at Poker you don't show your hand first , you try not to make the first bid.

MM has forced Apollo to make the first move and all around are counting their tokens to see if they can get some of the action.

Canary firmly in the place of more than one interest party and it will get serious.

Nestle et al, picking up Nutrition for a couple of billion they would be over the moon, and getting everything else for free is their christmases all coming at once.

First time i have seen an 8.5 with one trade for exactly the same number at exactly the same price.

He is a very clever and intelligent poster, we really should take notice of his posts.

GL to the minnows, if Apollo walk away others will walk in, if Apollo make a bid it better be good or they are going to be in a bidding war.

They have done two in the last 10 years, so not a common occurrence.

HH i still hold the same amount i have used the profits to build a nice 6 figure position in another one that I am bottom feeding..LOL, probably be cursing a thing progress , but i was a bit too many eggs in one basket.

I remain extremely optimistic here, TBF Golden has called nutrition as the main value since i bought here and he is correct.

Although we disagree on Ingenuity and the new software with two 500,000 picks a day warehouse, i think that's worth a lot as well, more that the 500 million that LEX put on it. ( if i recall correctly.)

I also think that Beauty has a very decent value, they have pulled back from non core areas and the vertically intrergtaed brand are worth a lot, that integration starts with the Labs that MM posted about.

The company is not the share price or Apollo wouldn’t be here..
