I agree it's a stupid measure that has no industry standards for reporting it's reporting and nor is it a requirement to report either.

If it was all about actual revenue and earnings then that would have been even easier to predict given that gold is 50% higher than what was used in the feasibility study. Kot would only need to produce 60k ounces a year or 5k a month if that was the case. And given that 4.8k was produced in July with the grade mined in July being circa 60% higher than what was processed in July it would make the pull through of predicting commercial production even easier.

The only thing that matters is group level earnings end of the day, whether they call it commercial production or not doesn't really matter.

Kor didn't start recruiting mining staff until the plant was almost complete. Endeavour was surface stripping the pit area whilst they were still building the plant .

Ramp up and optimization is more about drill and blast, the fleet and capacity of the tailings storage facilities that is optimizing the plant and CIL

Commercial production is three "sustaining" months at 60% name plate capacity... That means you need to be able to sustain the following three months through put. It has absolutely nothing to do with grade and how many ounces you've poured, it's all about BCM's moved and tonnage processed. This is why Endeavour have just announced commercial production after just one month. The difference between the two projects is the fleet optimization and the physical BCM's mined and sent to the rom pad.

PAF has an attractive average true range but the market size is tiny so expect slippage and bigger spreads

Someone at simply wall straight, has a decimal point in the wrong place. Using their own DCF model, The the future share price should be 80p not 8 pound

Typically H1 report is just a recap of the the first half of the year that has already been communicated in the Q1 & Q2 production reports. It's never had any Q3 updates or forward looking statements. Otherwise they'd have to call it the three thirds annual report I guess.

It's about to tick up again by the look of it

1st hedge was cancelled second hedge started Q 2024 for 60k ounces with 2150-2350 collar.

So 5k ounces a month is hedged

For example the price to earnings ratio for the end of H1 2021 was 11.8 whilst today's eps ratio is 26.72 (120% higher). The share price however at the end of June 2021 was £1.06 veres £1.53 (only 44% higher)

CEY are now on track for making 250m a year NET after government share which would give an EPS ratio of of roughly just 5 times. On this basis a fair value using historic price to earnings trend would be approximately £2.20 a share.

As I previously said... CEy share price was on the rise to this level, albeit slowly and steadily prior to the bid. Anglo desperately wants this cash at no cost to themselves and hopefully CEY shareholders will see worth through it and jog Horgan and co put of the boardroom.

Lots of different factors feed into whether a company is profitable or not, the prices of their services/products is just one of many different factors to consider.
