There's only this country's government's, past and present you can blame for fuel and heating costs in this country.
Decisions made decades ago have put this country where it is.

If BP ARE hit with a so called windfall tax I hope they actually defend themselves especially after being "lent" on by the government regarding Rosneft, and let's not forget (as far as I know) this government/country is STILL buying gas from Russia!
If the goalposts are moved here I really hope BP reconsiders being registered here for tax purposes.

Recession? It COULD have an impact on oil prices but its not guaranteed, let's not forget there's a war on.
An SP reduction to £3.50 means a fall in MCAP of £16 Billion?
Any so called "windfall tax" will be extra from profits, also not sure legally how you can retrospectively change the tax? Surely it could only change going forward?
Anyway if you think you'll get in at £3.50 IMO you'll be waiting a long time!

There's companies out there who have a far greater profit margin when taken as a percentage of their revenue than the likes of BP.
Maybe BOTH labour and conservative governments should have secured this countries energy future rather than considering clobbering companies that already contribute vast amounts of tax into their coffers!

So it's OK for the UK, Germany etc to spend BILLIONS on Russian oil & gas, (and to the best of my knowledge the UK will continue to do so until the end of the year!) But your moaning about a UK company giving probably 30 workers the opportunity to put food on their table and shoes on their feet.

To the best of my knowledge an awful lot of European countries are still buying oil & gas from Russia.
This is a far bigger benefit to the Russian state than the handful of workers at WK.

I can't believe that the SP is still bobbing about sub 1.40p.
I've tucked a few more into the ISA, happy to sit back and wait for the market to take notice.
When you look at the projects and acreage POW is holding I wouldn't be surprised if it was getting closely looked at.

Have you ANY proof of Dmitry selling? If not you should shut up.
All indications are that he has not reduced his holdings, there have been zero indications (RNS or otherwise) which indicates changes to his holdings or voting rights.
If you come back with some proof I will engage otherwise I'm done until tomorrow.

Alan Green believes greater than the current mcap, and so do I.
I suppose we won't know fully because there will be discoveries, blanks, spin-offs and mergers so the SP will react to the current situation.
I'm just happy to keep holding and see what the future brings.
Assuming nothing crazy happens tomorrow I will have another top-up.
