Irish times article refers to antigen testing ( I assume LFT ).Did you read it?
Any conclusions? Have they been sold the innova product?

Interesting now that people are beginning to realise how COVID vaccine passports are about control not sensible rational thinking behind more effective and sensitive tests which are not necessarily about poking a bud up your nose, the failed innova etc.
I bump into many out with my immediate circle who have tested positive and recovered vaxxed or not.
Immunity can be measured via antibody response and this is a huge potential for nova.
Tomorrow I visit my gp to request an az booster I simply do not trust the almost compulsory mRNA mass trial. This surfeit of specific “spike” proteins made in your cells are generated by your ribosomes. Mine have dealt fine with the antibodies generated by being exposed to the mixture az.

Would agree gazman, this terrible response to the capacity question when cases are reaching exponential levels throughout europe and elsewhere we downsize capacity, when dna diagnostics and antibody tests are at the forefront of dealing with this clever but ultimately stupid virus the world or scientific biotechnology has given us.
Incompetant decision making on behalf of the DHSs has led us to these state of affairs and I wonder if the unreasoned age of

Nova ends the day down whereas Avacta rises 10%,sharp trading that's all,do people not realise that MM's keep very close books, they can sell/buy their own, usually borrowed stock whenever a sale proves profitable.

We live in interesting times and diagnostics are big business the world over, newer treatments are advancing and viral count is highly significant,antibody and quicker more sensitive tests will win through.

I'm glad for all the patient shareholders who hung on despite this recent drop (which seemed to most of us that there was no reason behind it apart from city spivs and mm's making a few bucks).Now we hear of this new varient (how many more can be predicted now as new ones are appearing at a rate of knots?)I am confident that Primer design will be onto it as it is only a new gene marker in their pcr tests afterall they have proven themselves as being quite good at this.
The recent underlining of the significance of antibody tests which will involve blood tests,either fingerprick or phebotamy are sure to follow soon,confidence is obviously returning but if this dreadful "government" was sacked who knows.
I have my suspicions that the recent turnaround on the Valneva contract is motivated by xenophobic elements rather than science, especially as the vaccines minister has recently lied to parliament about the medical status of this company,food for thought eh?

Valneva vaccine is set for the year end,this is the company rejected by the dhsc over a £60m contract.Now we hear that their traditional "whole viral" technology is proven to produce a greater antibody response than the widely used AZ vaccine.
So far this may prove a better vaccine,who knows? but what I do know is that their is no discussion at all and this shower will have made another big mistake and may yet U turn.
For sure now antibody tests will be crucial to understanding why some have immunity and many will have a good antibody response yet still pass on the virus.

Well done Kitzie, this article demonstrates concrete evidence for caution regarding "boosters" which seem obsessed with promoting the share prices of Pfizer and Moderna rather than answering important scientific questions at this attempt to promote the cellular ribosomes to produce "spike" protein, which may ITSELF promote the immune system to overload.
Your initial exposure to a variety of recombinants from an adenovirus such as used in the AZ may form the immune system memory and it therefore learns from this exposure,quite what is achieved by our cells potentially producing hoards of spike protein,exclusive but not confined to varients of Co19,is yet to be seen.
There was a very odd video on twatter this am showing strange shaped bodies on the nano level,some appearing to be organic (possibly alive) and some geometric,what a strange world we are living in when we examine this mrna under an electron microscope.

Kaeren,thanks for your reply,I too am confused, but in Scotland there does appear to be choice on MEDICAL REASONS, phoning our surgery does not provide an answer nor the NHS vaccination "hotline".As they are different vaccines they will have different effects,both the Valneva (the one whose contract with the government was cancelled) and the AZ are made with recombinant coronaviruses,the mrna with specific "spike" protein coding sequences which have never been used before, although there is 20 years of research behind the mrna,they are not proven to be any more efficacious than the AZ.
Perhaps there are people on this forum who can explain why there is confusion on this issue and enlighten us?

I don't know about you Karen but I do agree "information is hard to come by" regarding testing and vaccination, I would be interested in your views regarding some of the issues in "boosters",please see my previous posts.

As we now know,the unvaccinated and pregnant are in intensive care,(over 90%),the experience in Israel has proven that the mrna vaccines are causing problems, is it any wonder that women are cautious?
There are so many unknowns about this programme and despite this,here we are being urged to take the mrna vaccines as "boosters".
This situation smells of desparation and low vaccine take up in eg Australia, the strong possibility of the promotion of varients through this mostly unvaccinated world population is another consequence.
People moaning about their "investment" should wake up to the fact that as far as diagnostics are concerned this company is anticipatory and has been ahead in this pandemic,approvals will come in the usa and worldwide,their products are in demand,their patents are strong and their research is ongoing,why would you not want to invest here?

On being invited for a booster I read "You may be offered the AZ vaccine if you have medical reasons for not receiving the Pfizer/Moderna "
What are these medical reasons? obesity? diabetes? heart problems? pregnancy?
The important point here is that the mrna vaccines are completely different to the AZ which has been proven so far so why this insistence on the Pfizer as a booster, is it simply because we have an overhang of supplies?

Brain fog and poor memory, the symptoms of long covid, as now studies are showing that up to 2m of us may have it.Now the drive for "normality" has resulted in thousands of school children being confirmed cases,presumably PCR tested and there may well be thousands of carriers who are not confirmed.The "health " messages emerging seem to be unaware of the spread of this delta varient and the increasing obsfucation of the "vaccine answer" to the ever manifest of viral/bacterial/ and fungal aliens.
Vaccinating the 12-20 group with the mrna vaccine has shown the risk of causing serious disease and may be the main reason for not taking it,meanwhile it's back to normal and the jab is a choice.

I have long suspected that most of us have been exposed to Co19 since the outbreak began (the mystery to me is how did it spread so far and so fast?), we could now be dealing with the long term effects,described as "long covid".Antibody studies in the usa point to this:-

As Professor Ioannides of Stanford University has recently reported, based on serological tests for the presence of antibodies, the actual infection rate in the population may be 50 – 85x higher than the number of documented cases."

If peer reviewed this is a staggering conclusion and demonstrates the need for antibody testing,was the last rns hinting that nova are about to mass produce such a test?,it has stated so in the recent past and I suspect the delay is down to not only porton down but the science required to get it right. The massive government failure to understand why the purchase of useless innova antigen tests is such an appalling waste of money is beyond understanding and now they appear to be promoting this chinese/usa company yet again.
