Totally agree with your summation, the.Italian, and exactly what I suspected from Ody's first couple of posts. Last time it was Lord 1 recommendation TopUp who was doing it, as I recall. I don't mind if Ody has negative views of the company = I'd be hypocritical if I did - it's just the way he presented himself initially that's suspicious.

I wish people would stop quoting that disingenuous line from the BOD. " Futura has conducted a Phase 3 study using MED3000 in ED". It then goes on to describe FM57 in detail. However, we all know that FM57 was a trial of MED2005, which was tested against placebo, and MED3000 never has been. No wonder FDA want another study, particularly after seeing the way that FUM twisted the wording to make it look like MED300 was being trialled. I'd be very surprised if EMA fall for it either, so we may as well resign ourselves to a long wait. This time next year we'll still be waiting for this time next year, sadly.

volat1lity, if you can find any trial reports from independent sources you'll find placebo is the word used all the time. However, since the failure of FM57 and the emergence of MED3000, FUM has carefully airbrushed out all mentions of the word placebo from their literature.

Yes, but lets keep our comparisons closer to home, The.Italian. Embarrassment didn't stop Viagra breaking all records as an RX ED medication. I wonder if it would have been so successful had it started life as an OTC med. Maybe it's less embarrassing to confide in your doctor than standing in the queue at Boots with a month's supply of blue pills in your basket. On the other hand, the worldwide public acceptance of Viagra has probably smoothed the pathway for any new ED med.

Obviously the scenario has changed a little since then, as the FDA are insisting on another trial, but I still think an RX classification would give the stuff some more credence.

Frank, "The FDA have indicated a requirement for certain additional clinical efficacy data beyond the Company's three months' home use study " in other words, they have insufficient data to give MED3000 the go ahead without another trial. Not to mention that that was FUM's translation of the FDA's words, so you guarantee some positive spin was added. The actual wording was probably even worse than clinically insufficient - we'll find out in September when the minutes are published.

As a matter of interest, Surfie, what persuaded you to buy into FUM? Did you DYOR or just bought on a hunch after a tip off? Please tell me you weren't influenced by Ananda, who is just a useless mouthpiece for the Futura Marketing Dept.

Excellent post, the.Italian, and not didactic at all. I hope Surfie takes it on board (see what I did there?) and stops asking us when he's going to make some money. I'm sure my answer to him would be somewhat more pessimistic than yours, but on the other hand I'm sure he represents a considerable number of investors looking at FUM. As long as nobody pays any attention to Ananda, we can have some good debate on this board, without anybody being unduly influenced to buy what is, at the end of the day, a very risky investment.

In fact, considering you didn't even know that, I suggest your earlier post saying that approval was just a formality was based on some of Ananda's fairy dust, and yet you had the gall to say that derampers were talking BS.

Dosanddonts, there's no data because FM57, which was trialling MED2005, a different product, ended in it failing to meet all endpoints. Therefore the trial wasn't extended.

...but just as lengthy. And of course approval is not guaranteed. People have posted saying this is one for the long term and patience is required. That's not why I invested in an AIM pharma though. I really don't want a high risk investment to be long term as that only increases the chance of failure. I guess I'm not alone hence the SP drop.

I couldn't see anything in the rns that the FDA are definitively going to allow MED3000 to be sold OTC. It's mainly smoke and mirrors by the board as usual to persuade the readers that that is what the FDA were saying. It's just like the gloss they put on MED3000 having passed P3 when in fact MED3000 wasn't even a product at the time of FM57 trials. Is there anywhere we can actually read what the FDA said or do we have to wait until September to see the actual minutes? I'm not at all surprised the SP dived after that rns, however much Amanda, and to a lesser extent, the-Italian, have spun it. So I'm gloomily still holding.

If you see any share on AIM as a safe haven, backinblak, then you're a braver man than me. I'm holding here because I'd like to get my money back, anything more would be a bonus, IMO.

Unfortunately Peter Pan and the children could only fly with the help of fairy dust, just as Ananda and sb88 believe that the SP here will fly if they sprinkle enough of their fairy dust over it.

More like FUM = HTC, I think. HTC made fabulous phones. The first all metal phones, the first Android phones, the one that inspired Apple, better than Samsung, but for some reason haven't done well recently. Time will tell, of course, but comparing a minnow like FUM with Apple is pushing it a bit.
