And typically such a persistent seller (for whatever reason) always generates shockwaves for retail investors, no one wants to see it pulled backwards screaming, then the conspiracy theories and slating of deals etc, no one "really" knows why the seller clearly needs or wants out, but the theory of "well I should dump mine to buy in cheaper" is all well and good, BUT then you expose yourself to usually doing the dump when most of the damage has already been done, and the minute the "seller" has left the building it then starts a "quick" recovery and almost inevitably you end up paying more to try and get back in.

Hindsight is a wonderful tool, but as it stands the deal looks pretty decent, and the level of focus they can now place on the imminent onshore drilling program will have increased dramatically with Energean taking the reigns for the Offshore work, I remain confident this miserable blip will pass by and the start of 2024 will have the works driven news flow needed to get this right back up there.

Ocelot, I had accumulated my holding in UKOG at 0.8 to 1p, before it ran up all those years ago, but there were only a small fraction of the shares in issue at that time.

It has NEVER rallied of any note since, NEVER, Ok, maybe 5% here & there but ALWAYS sold into and back off......... they would need to find the next Saudi mammoth field to have a chance of ever seeing 11p ever again, and there is more chance of winning the lottery than this shower producing more than the trickle it currently does.

It is clear from your posts that emotions are playing havoc, your not on your own for sure.

There is hardly anyone that isn't bamboozled by the market response, but it is fairly evident that it is one heavy persistent seller that has generated the damage seen on the SP, but I am sure you like many of us here are not by any means new to this, and seen such baffling actions on Aim oilies before.

The head becomes full of fek this, I should bail, but the gut feeling is it could & should rebound, possibly just as quickly as it was pulled down. The seller hasn't got an endless pot of stock to dispose of.

Personally, I would have preferred it to rally on that news, but I had started an accumulating process a few months ago, and continue to do so, one sellers needs simply provide more chance to accumulate more at a price I certainly never expected to see, as I am sure no one did.

Will I regret it ? I certainly don't believe so, that deal looks far better than I expected them to achieve, and the high news flow Onshore is soon to come into play. Not that you son't know all this, and keeping your head while others lose theirs for whatever reason usually results in winning out !!! Chillax and keep the faith !!

You CLEARLY have zero understanding of what they ACTUALLY did during those ermmmm flow tests..

What you do is leave it shut in for a good while, this allows time for a reasonable oil leg to accumulate in the well. then you switch on the pump until it has almost sucked the leg dry, lets say that lasts an hour, and you manage to get maybe 10 barrels out before you have to stop the pump because there is a lack of replenishment to the well.

You then run back to the portacabin office and quickly run the numbers, OK,,, so we squeezed 10bbl in that hour, so times that by 24 = 240bbl.day,,, Yeahhh I know !!! we didn't run for 24 hours because we can't sustain flow for more than an hour at that rate, because it can only replenish at a couple barrels an hour, BUT we will just publish what we ACTUALLY flowed and show it as per day !!!!! job done !!!!!!!!!!

Well that is until we really have to flow under normal production,,,, but we can flannel the retail with some blurbbbb about slow & steady !!! etc etccccccc

Its certainly a strange old game at times OP,

I think in fairness, they really needed a "little" luck on their side the last few months, in respect of gas prices rallying to at least their hoped 125p av, which is looking extremely unlikely now, they will be doing well if winter prices av mid 90's at this rate of decline, and they needed a bit of luck in-field too, which has also eluded them as their flow rates are really struggling to get anywhere near the expected "optimum" flow.

Though I am not holding, I actually would prefer to be witnessing some degree of success well above this current hole they are in, and it is seriously going to compound going forward, I honestly would not be surprised to see the £6m+ Payday loan go to conversion in Jan, I just feel it is getting stacked hard against them to source the amount they need from Global financing, and at anything like what could be deemed "favourable" terms that justify the consolidation process.
