They DON'T make deals with the mindset of "it will be great for Retail" they make deals because it is "great for them".

SLBY remains pretty much completely undermined with debt & debt financing, and the need to use pretty much every £ of anything left over to cover needed Capex for Velocity strings and plant requirements, add to that, the proposed well/s are not the "cheap side track" option, they are "new from surface" and it is getting down to top of target that costs the most, even if they manage a new well far better next time, it is still likely to need more like £6-7m if it goes like clockwork, and possibly a further £3m contingency, and that assumes they actually hit a compartment that has some commercial worth left within it.

The refinancing also releases the hounds, in the respect of "new placings" as they will no longer have some underlying limitation to dilute now.

Lol JC, well why not 1.5p, 2p ??? what is in the consolidation that gives such a valuation ?? yes the financing is "likely better" and gives them breathing space, but it is still a pile of debt to replace a pile of debt, with a little left over !

And it is going to take any excess left from that and excess from revenues over the next year to simply cover the field Capex requirements.

That simply means there is really still nothing left in it of "true" value for investors.

Well the "consolidation" deal is better than nothing being done, though I am amazed that revenues to date have not done far more to lower some areas of existing debt, and £20m really isn't enough in my opinion, and as said already, lacking some of the fine detail.

It isn't exactly setting the world on fire either with reaction, 20+ trades since open, twice as many posts as trades says it all lol.. BUT hey, if it provides an uplift for at least some to get to breakeven or profit then great !!

Not sure about the explosives movements though Ibug, my last 20 years were bouncing around North Africa & Middle East, and none of those countries were "easy" on explosives movements, all required some form of military escort, along with some countries not allowing any service companies their "own" storage bunkers, only permitting to store in Military controlled larger storage facilities etc... That said, Turkey is not on my list, so couldn't be sure on their exacting regulations, but I cannot imagine them being too relaxed, they got some chewy neighbours lol....

When a company picks up on something others have walked by, and they come up with a GREAT plan to bring it back to life with the right approach, planning, costing & timeline, then this is usually what I as a punter am looking for, and they STARTED out OK, and yes I can excuse "some" glitches, as nothing in this industry ever goes perfectly to plan or cost.

BUT when they blatantly start short cutting for example on the drilling program, something that took ALL past drilling info and problems encountered into consideration, WELL I am sorry but there is NO excuse. Yes they may well have gotten the well completed VENTUALLY, but they also ONLY managed less than half the planned 450m production interval. ADD that to the insultingly ridiculous length of time it took to complete this well, NOT a new well, a SIDETRACK well using an old mother bore, simply tore the shares in issue a new A hole, AND then also went on to take on a payday debt mountain just to add insult to injury.

Add that to them not telling the market they were using second hand compressors, which has also resulted in downtime and costs, just continues to insult/disrespect retail investors.

So if you think I am going to just post nicey nicey posts to supposedly keep in with the "we only like happy clapper" brigade then unfortunately your going to be disappointed !!

As for me, well I will ALWAYS trade some % of ANY holding, daily, hourly, weekly, whatever I see as justified, you can call it whatever you want, I call it being smart enough to WORK your STOCK, and not sit on it until it is either worthless or of no interest to anyone.... It isn't rocket science regards revenue, flow, OPEX,CAPEX, debt etc, it is all there for anyone to both see and do some basic evaluations.

They had ALL the hallmarks at the beginning of SLBY for getting this into bankable profitability within the first year of production, THEY destroyed that potential through their own poor decisions and the associated high cost debt that followed to cover that.

They should have, and could have, has cost Pi a LOT in what this "should" have been at this stage, heyyyhooo I will stick with what I see on both the debt & financing, so far by luck or by judgement it has proven correct to remain well out for now.
