"In other corporate initiatives, 88 Energy’s Board will consider in the new year whether a share
consolidation in 2024 is in the best interests of shareholders, and if 88 Energy decides to undertake
a share consolidation, shareholders will be able to vote on this at the 2024 AGM. "

As there is no resolution for same at AGM looks as if shelved for a while.

Conventional wisdom suggests that unless you can consolidate on sustained good news the share price will falter after a consolidation because the market generally takes a negative view on share consolidations.
If people are pro the idea of a consolidation because it will mean the negative posts here about the number of shares in circulation will cease then wait for the harbingers of doom because we have consolidated. :-)

DNR(DOG) will not normally approve gravel pads and roads for "exploration" wells, Alkaid-2 because it was to be an long term flow test was approved. Alkaid-1 had proven likelyhood of commercial flow.
Gravel pads and roads cost lots of money and I am guessing subject to expensive bonding, if an "exploration" well turned out to be a dud it would not be a case of letting ice melt the company would have to actually scrape all that gravel off and return the site to pristine tundra.

So you lend your shares and then what, they are used for shorting and if successful the share price plummets probably well below the value of the payment for accepting, when you get your shares back they will possibly be at bottom of cycle so what have you gained?
Apart from the payment you locked into the share I assume until the lending term expires, is it worth the risk?
Or are you hoping company news/progress trumps the shorters?
Am I looking to simplistically

PANR do not have option to drill exploration wells all year round, only hard pad they have is Alkaid-2 site as far as I am aware .
Is their future plan not for "production" wells from hard pads once processing facility completed, gas injection wells drilled and hot tap complete?
So no need for "exploration " wells.

Consolidation is not on the AGM agenda ( at least as far as I can see).

remember that voting is easy via most UK brokers (if HL is an example) , votes need to be received by 4:00PM 8th May,
so need to be with broker earlier.
No reason voters can not not just vote now.

Saw today that GBP one of biggest risers, rise seems to be based on fact that Chevron have agreed a deal with Namibia's national oil company.
Important to note that Chevron have bought into an OFFSHORE block, we are inland .

It has been stated often enough here that last trades can influence the closing price inordinantly.
Plus the current low SP means that any price movement of A$0.001 produces a big % change that if quoted here in isolation is meaningless.
I suspect that tomorrow the SP will revert to A$0.0003 and show a negative percentage of 25%.
OW has made the point that the daily VWAP is probably a better measure of trend although today that will be biased by the subject trade.

We do not know ( unless involved) the parties involved in that trade so speculation is dangerous but there are documented instances of the closing price calculation being exploited by unscrupilous traders.

1 agree director's apparent lack of faith looks bad.
2 Not sure if GBP are too interested or able at the moment, the data from Hickory-1 will be of value to their existing
project. if 88E exited Alaska (Namibia takes off) then I am sure GBP would be interested in selected leases that meet /
enhance their strategic objectives.
3 Are you talking about the NPRA?
