More significant developments in the sector announced today: 888 Holdings Plc and Authentic Brands Group have announced an exclusive U.S. Online Sports Betting and iGaming partnership for Sports Illustrated. The strategic partnership with Sports Illustrated "provides 888 with a platform for strong U.S. growth".

A couple of interesting paragraphs from the GSK update today, pasted below.

• Strategic focus to prevent and treat disease, with R&D leveraging science of the immune system, human genetics and advanced technologies = Tick for Sareum M&A / licencing

• The company is focused across four core therapeutic areas (TAs): Infectious Diseases, HIV, Oncology and Immunology/Respiratory. In addition, New GSK will remain open to opportunities outside these core TAs where there are scale opportunities rooted in immune science and genetic validation = Tick for Sareum M&A / licencing

• Capturing the increasing opportunities now seen across the prevention and treatment of disease offers significant scientific and commercial opportunities for New GSK. At the heart of this is the company's R&D focus on the science of the immune system, human genetics and advanced technologies; and its world-leading capabilities in vaccine and pharmaceutical development = Tick for Sareum M&A / licencing

I would suggest that GSK CEO Emma Walmsley and R&D boss, Dr Barron, need look no further than Sareum.

Yes and also a 500,000 and 250,000 buy today. A couple of months ago Money Week quoted Robin Wood, chief financial officer and deputy CEO of FTSE 100 gambling group Entain, as saying that virtually all states (in the USA) that have legalised online gambling so far – whether sports betting or another kind – have erected large barriers to entry. The most notable of these is the requirement to have either an existing physical presence in the state, in the form of a licence, or at least have a joint venture. What is really encouraging, from a Webis share holder point of view, is that Webis hold both an online licence and a license to operate retail operations in California. That's where the action is going to be later this year and in 2022. It is no wonder that investors are taking a position in webis ready for M&A / consolidation in the sector.

Just Group is under valued and perhaps off the radar currently but there were some very encouraging comments about a 200p valuation / takeover price in Investors Chronicle a few months ago. CFO Andy Parsons was quoted as saying “We are open to conversations from interested parties and conversations have happened. All we can do is to focus on ourselves – making our business better will increase the appeal to others.”

Of particular note was the comment: "conversations have happened". One to watch. 200p is where this should be by the end of this year, if not sooner. Check out the NAV. It's 100% above the current share price.

We are now half the IPO price of 96p. This has a 100% re-rate back up to mid 90p range written all over it. Remember we were at 125p a share in January. Next week could be interesting....

Yes RMM, Licencing or M&A with MSD as I've said before would not surprise me. MSD has already witnessed how effective the Sareum science is back in June 2019 with the 100% regression of tumours after 21 days in small cell lung cancer trial. We also saw that late last year MSD acquired OncoImmune for $425million plus milestones and sales royalties in a COVID 19 focussed deal. Not long to go now. Good luck, Brighty

Exactly. SRA737 in combo trials with WEE1 (AZ), Keytruda (MSD) and Gemcitabine (Lilly) have all been successful. i.e. the potential value of Sareum’s commercial interest in SRRA 737 CHK1 is huge. Good luck, Brighty

When you are constructing an M&A deal or licencing deal the best approach is always to have more than one buyer competing for your business. i.e. to extract the highest possible price. It's good that Tim is presenting today. A shrewd and canny move in my opinion. Good luck, Brighty

I read somewhere that GSK, apparently, has 14 patents worth up to £10billion per annum that are due to expire in the next decade. That is a big pipeline to fill, if true. Perhaps GSK's Dr Barron will be in touch with Sareum soon (or has been in touch already....)

Avacta's AffiDX lateral flow test distribution agreement announced today bodes well for Abdx.

Plus don't forget Chris Yates' comment in the last RNS "The lateral flow testing market is forecast to be worth $10.2bn by 2025, and Abingdon remains well-positioned to be the 'go-to' provider for high quality rapid tests."

And this paragraph from the trading update:

Contract manufacturing for partners:
Abingdon is pleased to report that one of its international contract service customers has received a CE mark for professional use for its COVID-19 lateral flow antigen test. The Company is now working closely with this partner regarding the scale-up of manufacturing to meet anticipated demand for this test. Furthermore, the Company continues to work with a number of other COVID-19 antigen test contract service partners with products in development.

Absolutely. GSK is certainly on the hunt for new drugs and we do know that their R&D boss, Dr Barron, has links with directors of Sareum, so the GSK corporate jet could also be on the tarmac at Cambridge airport imminently. Interestingly, Berenberg in its latest note says that to make up for patent expiries GSK needs two new “megabusters” for their pipeline. We know where GSK could find one or two....

Yes, it will certainly be very interesting to see if one of the private jets flying in to Cambridge (CBG) Airport this week has Pascal Soriot ceo of AstraZeneca on board. We know that SRA737 has been successful with Astra Zeneca's WEE1. Or there's the corporate jet of the new CEO of Merck MSD Robert Davis. We know that Merck's Keytruda in combo with Sareum's science causes the 100% regression in tumours. Merck MSD is still one of my top predictions, along with Eli Lilly, for a licencing or takeover with Sareum. Then again Paul Hudson, Chief Executive of Sanofi or Albert Bourla CEO of Pfizer could well be spotted at Cambridge Airport heading to Sareum's HQ very very soon.

I would suggest that the price predictions are far from optimistic. They are in fact based on what the pharma sector has been prepared to pay to acquire or do licencing deals with smaller co's .There have been some very very juicy deals in our sector over the last few years, many highlighted on this forum.

The fact that Sareum has a diverse pipeline but also a potential treatment for Covid-19 should be a good reassurance for your decision to invest. There is bound to be volatility as we await news on our Covid data but when Sareum stated recently in an RNS "Initial results are encouraging and demonstrate that SDC-1801 reduces the levels of cytokines associated with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome in human lung cells infected with SARS-CoV-2" that was clearly a major trigger point for new investors to buy in to Sareum (as well as for existing investors to top up). The £2.3 million investor is testament to this.

It was particularly interesting to see Sanoffi pay 1.45 billion for Kymab in January. One of our NEDS, Dr Owen, Co Founded Kymab & will be well versed on the kind of monetary value attached to a company such as ours and will be advising the board on licencing deals and or M&A.

It is clear that Sareum is in the right place at the right time and that 2021 is Sareum's break through year.

Many on here will know that I like my share price stats, analysis and trends. For those that invested in the likes of NCYT and SNG at the start of last year (I did and I'm still in both) you will know that it was a volatile bumpy road in early 2020 with crazy yoyo share prices. Then the news flow commenced and the rest is history. e.g. Take a look at the Synairgen share price chart. It wasn't a straight line from 10p to 200p. Far from it but by believing in the science and ignoring the urge to bail out after a few multi bags provided real rewards when both NCYT and SNG sky rocketed. I believe Sareum is about to experience similar meteoric gains. Our story is only just starting. If you believe in the Sareum science you will know that we are on our way with 1801, 1802, 737 to significant new share price highs. I'm with Thoth (& many others) regarding the potential of £1+.
