Things looking encouraging here for ABDX:
"Under the terms of the 10-year agreement, Abingdon will manufacture the lateral flow strips for Bioporto's Generic Rapid Assay Device (gRAD) platform, the company's proprietary patented technology for rapid lateral flow test development. The test which has completed technical transfer will be manufactured by Abingdon Health at its Doncaster facility, following the Company's expansion of its manufacturing capacity. This will provide Bioporto A/S with immediate access to high volume manufacturing to meet their anticipated global demand for its product".

The UK Govt can not surely continue to funnel billions of pounds to non UK manufacturers of LFTs to the detriment of the much heralded UK Sovereign test? The read through for me is that it looks as though the UK LFT sector could finally be in for an interesting period of news flow. The UK Gov't awarding the Royal Mail a £269m contract to deliver Covid tests could be a significant signal that things are about to get very exciting for AVCT, as well as for ODX, ABDX etc. Good luck, Brighty

It has been confirmed that the UK Gov't has awarded the Royal Mail a £269m contract to deliver Covid tests. This could be a significant signal that things are about to get very exciting for UK LFT providers such as ABDX. You would have to surmise from the Royal Mail contract that the actual manufacturing contract would therefore be huge If the Royal Mail is being awarded £269m to deliver them . It would also imply that news of the UK LFT Sovereign contract could be announced soon.

You would have to surmise from the Royal Mail contract that the actual manufacturing contract would therefore be huge If the Royal Mail is being awarded £269m to deliver them . It would also imply that the UK LFT Sovereign contract is close to being announced. As we know from the 11th February the UK Government has valued ODX's contract to provide manufacturing capacity for COVID19 Lateral Flow Antigen Tests at £374 million. News could be announced soon....

Research designed to probe effects of Sareum's SDC-1801 candidate, a TYK2/JAK1 inhibitor, on cytokine following Covid-19 infection. Don’t discount GSK for licencing or an outright takeover. It is said that they have 10+ patents worth up to £10billion per annum that are due to expire in the next decade. That is a big pipeline to fill, if true.

I would not be at all surprised if GSK's R&D President Dr Hal Barron gets in touch with Sareum soon.

You will also recall that the GSK update last week made very interesting reading for Sareum:

Once the news gets out in to the mainstream media and investor community that dexamethasone, recently hailed as the lifesaver for over 1 million Covid patients, is less effective than Sareum’s SDC1801 in the latest Covid trial, you would expect:

A: Agile to be a done deal

B: More High Net Worth Investors to buy in to Sareum now that the short term sellers are moving on &

C: The likes of Paul Hudson, Chief Executive of Sanofi, Albert Bourla CEO of Pfizer, Pascal Soriot ceo of AstraZeneca, Robert Davis CEO of Merck MSD and Emma Walmsley of GlaxoSmithKline will know all about Sareum and will be instructing their licencing teams to have a closer look at / make a move on Sareum.

SNG 6p in January 2020.
SNG 15+p in February 2020.
SNG 40+p in March 2020.
SNG 70+p in April 2020.

If SNG can go from 6p to over 200p in 6 months then you would have to say that given a good run of positive news over the next few weeks and months re SDC 1801/1802/SRA737/Agile/Covid/Secret Patent / Licencing or M&A the same could quite easily happen here for Sareum in 2021 - if things pan out as we expect. We are very much in the midst of an astounding "Perfect Storm" scenario. Just consider if all 3 of the following were to happen within weeks of each other...

1. Covid / Agile confirmation e.g. SP increases to 15p-25p (a modest x 200% to 400% and very achievable) = TODAY = TICK

2. SRA 737 licencing development confirmed e.g. SP increases from 25p - 50p (a modest 100% and very achievable = Soon?

3. Licencing / partnership deal announced e.g. SP increases from 50p - 70p (a modest 50% and very achievable) = Soon?

i.e. The uplift in our share price over just a few weeks would be stunning but clearly not impossible given positive newsflow. The exciting news is that all 3 of these possibilities could be about to happen. Then there is the small matter of a takeover, which you would have to say given the pipeline we are sitting on would be much bigger than the Kymab 1.4 billion deal....

We are about to enter a pivotal few months in the history of Sareum. It all starts today.....

Great point about a takeover of Sareum and how very apt on a day when Sareum confirms via RNS the success of its Government funded Covid Trial. The wow moment for me in the RNS, bearing in mind that dexamethasone has been widely reported as saving 1 million plus lives in regard to Covid was the following quote: "SDC1801 demonstrated a profile that was superior to the anti-inflammatory steroid dexamethasone and similar to baricitinib, a JAK1/JAK2 inhibitor". This is huge news and now has mega bucks takeover / licencing written all over it. As you and several others pointed out yesterday the trade two days ago was very interesting indeed. Reading between the lines Alastair Smith is very frustrated indeed with the UK Govt' re the lack of urgency for the UK to get on with a sovereign LFT test when he says in the RNS today:

"The AffiDX® test has been developed in the UK, is based on UK technology and is manufactured in the UK are huge selling points for customers in Europe."

AVCT, ABDX, SNG, ODX etc could all do with more UK support from our Government. Yet again AVCT are leading the way but the Gov't are dragging their heels. The same has been going on at SNG, ODX and ABDX. e.g. SNG has a formula to save lives but the Gov't are just being so slow. Same here with AVCT.

Come on UK Gov't can we please now invest in our own technology rather than from elsewhere. Anyway, another great RNS today from a UK business.

The news that testing isn't going anywhere anytime soon was reinforced today with Serco's announcement that it has been awarded a contract by the UK DHSC to continue providing support services to Covid-19 regional, local and mobile test centres in England and Northern Ireland. The contract is for 12 months with an option to extend for a further 6 months. The value of the award could be up to £322m. This is very encouraging for ABDX, AVCT AND ODX I would suggest.
