Great news on Hammerhead. The field is tertiary, heavily oil and with some sulphur. I didn’t expect XOM to develop this field so soon in the Guyana journey. There are solid reasons why XOM will now develop Hammerhead. The resource size and project economics are obviously the drivers. Hammerhead also has prospects for tie backs.

I’d calculate that when hammerhead gets FID that this is worth about 15p to 20p for Eco. The downside is obviously Eco’s funding needs.

The bigger question is what this means for Orinduik. Will XOM farm in ? There’s not much chatter on what’s happening.

Interesting times as we look at Guyana. Namibia remains the key though, in my opinion. We will get a drill there in the next 12 months.

I have taken my position here and am hoping for a significant multi-bag exit, sooner rather than later. Let’s see.

Great to read some informative posts on the board. The OM news is obviously very encouraging.

The Sealion engineering work is progressing as planned, is my understanding. No concrete news of a third partner yet but parties are showing interest. Financing is still unclear but several options exist.

FID remains on track but may fall over to Q125.

Patience is key. Talk of one pound per share seems fanciful now, but give it time and I don't think anyone will flinch at that.

The scrolls from OilBrat illuminated the way; darkness set in for a long time but now there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Orinduik - 10 companies interested; farm out very close.

Tullow, Total and QE have all exited the block hence expectations may be low. Tullow have financial challenges and Total have bigger fish to fry in Suriname and Namibia.

XOM have rigs, infrastructure in Guyana and a portion of hammerhead is in Orinduik. XOM are lining up multi developments for the next twenty years. There is oil in Orinduik.

Without a doubt, XOM / Orinduik is a great marriage. 2 commitment wells for 80% ? Great deal for everyone ?

We will know soon enough …

Finally momentum is with Eco. I’d expect this to continue with more IOC farm ins and discoveries in the huge Orange Basin.

The Walvis Basin average will get the blocks farmed out.

The Orinduik block will have its day. The farm out can’t be too far away.

Barring XOM getting involved in Orinduik, momentum till take Eco over 20p. The big payoff obviously is with a discovery; that’s the multibagger.

Great risk / reward with Eco.

Meant that to be a strong buy obviously !!!!

Huge news that Chevron have taken a position in PEL 82.

There is a proven hydrocarbon system in the block. Just needs a drill to hit the sweet spot.

Any new discovery in the Walvis basin will be very interesting for Eco.

Many irons in the fire for Eco but still need to hit somewhere for the multibagger we are all here for.

Great to read about the GALP discovery. Namibia is the new Guyana for sure !

I suspect 3B/4B will get its first drill within 12 months or less. The block is on trend with all of the recent Namibian discoveries. CoSmust be high.

Any farm outs in the Walvis Basin will be a big bonus as we are in frontier exploration in that geography.

As for Orinduik, it couldn’t be XOM, could it ? I understand that is the very strong preference for Eco but other bids have more value.

10p will become 20p and 40p during any well drilling. A commercial discovery and all bets are off !

Not one for pension funds or orphans but there are not many better risk / reward options out there.

We have heard a lot of very positive talk from him over the years but this time, the business seems on a much more stable basis.

XOM farming into Orinduk would be massive !!

Share price predictions are always dangerous, but Eco at 10p is way undervalued.

As we know the farmout was competitive with Total / QE winning. This was the best deal for Eco. They have the cash and remain with a meaningful share of the block.

The great news here is the new Operator will be Total. They have as a good, as anyone, understanding of the region and play and they have infrastructure in the area. They also have rig contracts for rigs which are / will be operating in the region.

Eco will only realize true value on firstly drilling and then finding commercial oil.

We are finally off to the races in the Orange Basin. The share price is meaningless right now for medium term holders. There is little doubt this will be multiples of today’s share price when we spud the first well.

Risk does remain. The Orange basin is little explored and the play not that that well known, never mind knowing where the sweet spot is.

Risk-reward with Eco. Not for pensions or orphans but the reward is massive.

I think the news from East Belfast has, like its most famous ship, been “lost” today. It’s another step in the jigsaw.

The giant is starting to slumber.

It was OilBrat who first saw the scrolls and knew their meaning. That was a long time ago. The scrolls showed the way.

Fast forward and we are on the verge of seeing Oilbrat’s predictions come to fruition. The obstacles are no longer technical but commercial. It would seem the commercial obstacles are getting resolved.

There was a time I had lost faith in Rockhopper’s ability to produce from the Falklands but, be it good fortune, shrewd commercial acumen or luck, they will indeed produce oil from the vast Northern Basin.

There is little doubt there are billions of barrels of recoverable oil in the Northern Basin. Isobelle -Elaine is massive.

As for the share price and where it will go, that’s anyone’s guess. I have taken my holding for now but plan to top up as news confirmation takes us through 15p, 25p, 50p. I have little doubt, barring a takeover or some unforeseen event, that the Rockhopper market cap will surpass a billion pounds within 3 to 5 years.

It seems a long time since May 2010 and news of the Sealion discovery. There have been many, many poor decisions by Sam and Rockhopper since then, but finally there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Falklands oil will get produced within 3 years and the big prize of Isobel - Elaine will finally also get prominence.

It’s been a long time since the scrolls of Llandudno were seen, but I am sure many old timers on here will finally get their day in the sun !

Make no mistake, this is Howard's baby. He got the country entry and chose the prospects. He's a talented geoscientist.

I don't know what Howard will do next, but I suspect retirement. He's loaded up with BOR equity but I believe he will get a lot older before any meaningful cash in.

The Falklands oil story is alive and well in the shallower waters of the NFB. Oil will get produced later this decade and the NFB will get fully developed. There are billions of barrels in the NFB. The Southern basin, due to its water depth and development costs, will have its day in the fullness of time, but it is decades away unfortunately.

The Navitas engineering work is progressing as planned. I expect FID next year as planned.

Navitas have a good track record at securing finances and partners.

It’s been a long, troublesome journey with many false dawns and turns, but patience will be rewarded.

Good to see all the director deals. Yes, the share purchase amounts are relatively low but nonetheless a positive sign.

This company just needs one positive drill result to be a game changer. Remember the share price after the Guyana discoveries.

Patience is needed and will be rewarded.

I am the first to say that I was wrong in thinking Rockhopper’s race had been run. Navitas have turned this around. They have an experienced project team in London and things are moving ahead at a good pace.

Significant increases in the share price are very possible as long as Rockhopper retains good financial stability.

It’s time to look at this bad boy again as oil will finally flow in the Falklands later this decade and sooner than expected.
