I think all we are seeing is the sensible correction of a stupid oversell caused by the sorts of idiots that we have seen come out of the woodwork in the last few days. With a bit of luck we have got rid of a fair few and can get back to the reality of the situation.

Darren, suggest you read the following guidance to how the stock market works. The system has no idea whether the trade is a buy or a sell. It marks the sale depending on whether it is closer to the ask or the bid, so its just an unreliable ball-park guide. If the price is exactly half-way between the two, it marks the transaction as 'unknown', and on LSE shows it in grey.

I don't like Fridays on stock markets. Its a bit like the weather outside at the moment, a bit grey and wet.

I've decided to switch off and to think about more important things like whether to have a nice Burgundy with the steak and home-made pepper sauce or a bottle of Xinomavro (a top Greek number grown on the slopes of Mount Olympus).
