Bots the whole point is that they have not held us back once the RFP rerun fiasco (because they entertained Seka as a bona-fide bidder). Moagi tried to speed things up by giving us a PPA , a PPA that some idiots on here thought was vital , BUT TG NEVER WANTED OR NEEDED!

The biggest certainty in this project from day 1 was there is a market for as much power as we can produce. A PPA might commit us to a price at an early stage , a price that was very likely too low by the time the power was available?

The Govt from Molale , through Moagi, have always believed that TLOU would come good but there were a few ministers and civil servants with your negative mind(less)set! That effectively made Eric cautious , and Masisi , and made Govt financial help a non-starter. It did not seem that important, imho , until the RFP delays of a couple of years were compounded by a reversal of progress wasting valuable funding and even longer delays with world-wide lockdowns over an indefinite period! How TG got us through that period I dunno - we must have been so close to closure. There is little doubt the Doc ,and directors sacrificial salaries ,were the major players and the vaccines helped slacken the lockdowns.

All that was unavoidable imho but is history. TG has moved heaven and earth with support from those close to him and after 6 troublesome years we are on target to realistically become a producer in 2025 , and the Govt targets of 2027 look meetable for TLOU's proportion of the target. Will our rivals meet theirs? We just need better gas flows from existing and future wells anf it is downhill from there! We have the Solar option ourselves so if that ramps up elsewhere we can join that rat-race. And Wind looks more complicated to get off the ground? Glad we are not considering Wind. I wonder how cynical the new Govt is? Supporting TLOU in 2025 is going to be so easy to justify I reckon! And thet have a clean sheet.

The Govt of Botswana has been fairly constant - basically they have challenged would-be CBM powered electricity producers to prove it and THEN the Govt will support them as major power producers.

Meanwhile Solar and Wind alternatives are being built and the Govt cannot afford to back any old Tom, Dick or Harry beyond beyond giving them the appropriate paperwork to enable them to proceed. The paperwork protects the public from cranks who might endanger them with dodgy practices.

Permission to erect the poles and wires for 100Km into Serowe , imho , is a vote of confidence in TLOU. Who'd want them if they are not going to be useful.

Even if TLOU fail to provide CBM power - the TX lines can be used to conduct Wind or Solar Power which could well happen in addition to CBM power with horizontal drills instead of a million rat holes across the sites that TLOU have. Who knows , with unlimited electricity available locally, maybe the desert can be turned into something else? A town, or an industrial centre, or maybe even some sort of farm , both arable or pastoral sound unlikely but who knows. Elephant stew would be filling.

The ball has been in TLOU's court for years - if the share price had been healthier and we had paper profits so we could throw money at TLOU with a bit more confidence - things might have been rosier. As it stands TG has worked wonders to keep TLOU alive. We are within a year of , I hope , of earning a pula or two and the share price rising .... even it is only by the GBP to AUD exchange rate. We'll be flying if ASX is next to go and we are left with the Botswana Exchange alongside the Pension fund.

I am prepared to judge the Govt by results once they are satisfied by the power arriving at Serowe.

Whose to say that messing with the wind is safe??? And the plan is to increase wind turbines anywhere there is a reliable (so far) breeze. Tornados etc evolve over the sea , and hydro power from waves might become popular one day. Hard to see how wave control would have a global effect within huge oceans, or how solar energy might contribute though.

With 6 months of daylight at each Pole I can see a huge plus for solar panels at each pole and intercepting solar heat before it gets to the ice could stop the poles melting a quickly.

Tlou plans are for gas and solar and hydrogen (maybe) which might reduce the need for wind turbines in Botswana.

I also listened to an excellent discussion on Sky News, politicians, medics, legal guys talking about potential leglislation on assisted dying, a cross party collaberation. They seemed concerned about coercion from people who'd benefit from the will of the victim.

I think that couldbe put to bed by withholding payouts to those beneficiaries who support an early termination. A date beyond the most optimistic estimate of terminal dates. If they are trying to limit pain and suffering they will get their wish?

It was painful to watch because my wife went into palliative care and it was not what I expected at all. I was an idiot , I knew she liked Poole Hospital food and thought she might admit to any pain she was suffering to medics that she'd hide from me. So she'd be better looked after than at home.

Covid ruined his well meaning options by dropping the price on the open market below his 2 year option price of 4.4p which , without lockdowns galore , would have risen from over 5p during those wasted 2 years or so.

Sharewise TG will be doing some of us a favour, I have shares in 4 accounts and it would have cost me a few quid to get them all into ISA's. Tony will merge them into 2 ASX accounts for free! In the future I'll be able to sell the nominee shares to fund one or two ISA accounts. The depositary is yet to be clarified - will non-ISA shares go into a non-ISA depositary? And will shares in a UK ISA be put into that account as well, or into an existing ISA at our brokers?

I suspect my X-O (Jarvis) shares are going to cause me small problems from their response last month. Hopefully they will be able to accommodate TG's plans and the depositaries will be UK based with a magical connection to ASX.

It is testimony to your statement about never buying shares - I don;t even know how much I lost on the shares that are dead but it is 6 figures for certain. I still expect TLOU to regain however much it was , the prospects are better than they ever were imho. I spread my money across 5 HMV shares to minimise the risk of losong the lot.

HMV in its original form, Avanti Communications, US Oil and Gas , Sirius Minerals and TLOU all listed on LSE. HMV my blue chip was paying 16% dividends while they lasted, the others were all AIM and come 2025 none of them will listed on LSE!!!!

Since my wife was taken ill I lost virtually all interest in new companies but TLOU was my last chance and when I read they were leaving AIM , I feared the worst, and for a few hours the lights went out. I read the RNS properly and realised I had totally misjudged Tony and the harder I looked the better was the feeling that he had not abandoned us Brits at all!!!

I am tempted to close my X-O account and shift the shares into my IG accounts. They charge £5.99 per transaction but only deal with GBP transactions on LSE . They have my unlisted USOP shares on record and they are still pursuing oil in Nevada and theoretically were worth 25p a share with the last platform they were listed on.

Tlou were happy with 2 or 3MW for starters so 100MW was not aimed at TG!

TLOU were the the only credible candidate , and the Sekaname arrived to replace KEB (who were getting bad press over Panama). 100% certainty - KEB/Seka said they'd withdraw from the tender process UNLESS THERE WAS A WORTHWHILE OFFER ON THE TABLE!

100MW was the outcome and then it was strongly rumoured that the two preferred (the only candidates) would be offered 50MW each!!!!! I know this is fact and TG was unhappy to accept 50MW but seemed prepared to accept for 25 times his ideal number.
