Togo lost 71% ,and Singapore only 2.03% at the other extreme. UK figure was 8.35%

I was worried that Botswana would not be classed suitable for the vaccine aid, but this change of heart looks pretty good to me. EU aid is going into Africa and I wondered if bigotry towards Botswana's history with Britain will work against them.

This loan may help Botswana source the vaccine for itself - I think that is partly the aim of the loan alongside support for Green energy. The timing and Orapa's plans could gel with a huge bit of overdue luck?

I agree with Py's view of the situation.
BG played a game when offering KE as opposition to TLOU in the preferred bidder race.
It took away TLOU's ability to dictate whatever price TLOU wanted for their eventual power supplies.

TLOU retaliated to the BG being the only player in town , dictating the price they'd pay , by pointing out SAPP offered an alternative market place, and maybe individual SAPP members could possibly outbid the two main options?

IMHO, BG and TLOU desperately want to form a mutual partnership from funding to power provision.
And so do I - if there is a surplus one day then SAPP will enter the equation but I'm unsure if I'll see that day.

What I know , is that I would never invest in a company who planned to open any sort of mine in a distant country that they were going to administer remotely, with no plans to have a presence in that country! Employing an ex-minister from the host country to do everything domestically, would not be enough to sway me!

I ended up with Kaspersky on pc and Bitdefender on Mac, both providing free versions (if you look hasrd enough). Both only allow one machine hence the difference.

This morning I logged on to my pc/Kaspersky , so muck quicker, and was greeted with this!

WHIZZ,the money is still there afaik, and if there was a benefit in spending it now I am sure TLOU would. They have not spent it on getting the poles/wires installed or they'd have told us, but I guess there are costs in negotiating prices for the physical poles , wires and sbstations materials directly or indirectly through the chosen contractors which may have been paid?
