But they address a fairly simple topic.

1. I suspect the poles/wires tender pre-dates the unexpected news on Hydrogen. It could have originated at Tlou or Pure Hydrogen or
Syn. TG may have seen the merits early or late!

I suspect late after the case was made and he agreed but that is imho!

2. What gas? Covid and water has stopped it exceeding a flare - without Solar either - no need for wires/poles or how much power to plan for.

3. The final point is Syn’s offer - too good to be true?
Perfect offer to move out of stagnation - set up prototype using existing gas flows! Saves waste , advances production by months or maybe a lot of months - and at minimal cost!!!!!!

Is this not as obvious as it can possibly be?
It is to me and MM and several other posters I am sure.

Why spend money on Tx lines for the future now when Hydrogen can be proved or not with a fraction of the cost. And that money would need to be spent to make the poles worthwhile anyway!

And you wonder why I As so impressed by Tlou management?

The downside is we may not get the options at preferential rates by summer next year if we are dependent on CBM power. Personally, I expect Syn to succeed after we repeat the work we did at Selemo. Whether Syn can fulfill their side by June/July is anyone’s guess. But 8c or 4.4p is likely before then irrespective!

If Hydrogen looks less exciting Tlou will be back on course for poles/wires in time for the options, I hope.

Sorry OB, I read your question to mean why would they not want a GAS pipeline as well.
It still occurs to me that Orapa could build the pipeline of either type in return for a lower price on their fuel.
Hydrogen would definitely be an independent project from CBM gas power to Serowe then.
Mamba for Orapa , Lesedi for the BPC and SAPP.

Getting surplus gas to the Lesedi power station will be a future venture no doubt.

Thornback and all of us know that Orapa want to switch from dirty, expensive DIESEL to run their existing alternative (dual) fuel option generators, designed originally to run on diesel or gas!

A gas pipeline was their only viable option , unless they abandoned their power station in favour of buying ready made electricity. This would open the market for CBM or Solar power, both in TLOU plans! Win, win, win for TLOU maybe?

Now TLOU are contemplating have maybe added Hydrogen to the mix - if diesel engines at JCB can be switched to run on Hydrogen with a change of cylinder head and some periphery equipment - then Orapa must have that option too!

I cannot believe they will want both Hydrogen and Gas , so I agree with Thornback completely!

Last night I dreamed I was crossing electricified rails in front of a moving engine , to get on another rail just behind a train that was passing. I tripped, and as I was falling I was trying to see where the live rail was! I'd thrown myself out of bed onto the floor and grazed both my knees very superficially. The next thing I knew was Poppy was licking my left knee at 5am in the dark! Have not been back to sleep - I looked to see if there was an overnight RNS and once the computer was on I ended up trying the crossword!

I was thinking about the wisdom of Solomon, how did the prophets know TLOU were coming 2000 years later?
Time to think about frequent trader status now we are in Sept .... all trades on ASX were at 5.6c yet the system decided half were buys and half were sells - silly system.

Two late sells at 5.5 and 5.4 since I last looked - market closed or I'd have bought on ASX to get 5.6c back as the sp!

Predicting where TLOU will be once the epidemic stops interfering with working habits is not obvious.

They will surely look at the the quickest route to revenues, and the options to get there.

1. Power source.
a. Solar panels
b. CBM from Lesedi and/or Mamba.

2. Power production and Delivery.
a. Gas to Orapa via pipeline
b. Power station at Lesedi and Tx lines to Serowe
c. Solar ditto on distribution.
d. Power station and Blue Hydrogen
e. Solar and Green Hydrogen

3. Hydrogen distribution?
a. Can Orapa/elsewhere justify enough hydrogen use to build a Hydrogen pipeline
b. Tlou transport company - lorries?

4. Blue hydrogen carbon bi-product distribution?

The board have so much to consider, and that list does not include marketing and funding considerations!
They don't need shareholders revolts!"

OB session and Moagi session - difficult choice for Donkey perhaps?

Hydrogen , Solar , CBM power or Gas pipeline - another difficult choice of priority but all feasible!

Hydrogen green , blue or turquoise - another choice - with a pot of gold at the end of that rainbow?

I agree Thornback , in terms of timescales, Hydrogen looks easily the earliest to achieve, but is only a proving exercise and will not be a major earner during that process. It looks worth the effort whether it is a success or not , our side of the deal doesn't upset our plans , with or without, this collaboration. SYN are similar , a change of venue for work they'd do anyway but with the bonus of it becoming a live production site if it goes to plan. Such exciting times!

OB ken no be? entered into a fairly long exchange of ideas on whether TLOU could sell direct to the SAPP without going through BPC.

It makes sense that our plan is to join the network are made at Serowe which may well require BPC cooperation at the very least. Joining SAPP elsewhere raises the distance from 100 KM I assume.

The ability OR NOT of joining SAPP as an IPP determines Imho whether the BOC PPA is necessary and TG doubted that when I first took an interest in Tlou.

I cannot recall him ever saying that has changed.

As for SEKANAME they said they we only interested in a sizeable order or they were out.

As a preferred bidder, which means to me they got their wish at 97MW and TG was happy enough with 3MW because accepting the price on 3MW was not too onerous! Future expansions can still be at rising prices if , as expected , they do increase with time.

So many outcomes look possible. First we need a report from Danny Horne on the state of the dewatering. That could be soon. But the PPA could be announced with it?

It is a bit sad, seeing today's tweet.

I think everybody but one, thinks we are expect a PPA for 10MW.

Very close?

On a 12000 mile journey , 100 miles may seem to be close!
On a 100 yard journey , 10 yards may not be that close! If you are trying to complete that distance in a fixed time, and at time up you are at 90 yards, that time is miles away!

I think we'd reduce the number of cheap sells until date x , if they said we hope to be able a positive update by date x.
If it comes early , then a price boost might result, depending upon the news.

I am sure the board take notice of opinion on here. Surely this approach makes sense?

5.6c on ASX equates to 2.96p - I never thought we'd see the 2p's again, and my bottom lines are looking as sorry as I feel.
I put it down to false expectations of some good news being imminent, and I am as guilty as the next man for being too perky about August being likely!

If you expect a delivery in November that arrives in October it is probably produces a much better feeling, thoughout the wait, than expecting it in August and getting it in September? This is what we are enduring I think!

I have changed a preset on Firefox so it refreshes every time from the web instead of every third time , which must rely on cached screens (it was set to 3 , now is set as 1).

End of the week on ASX tonight - they seem to be following London prices lately, or is it vice versa - either way there seems to be close parity on prices just lately.
Which one will rise first once the good news week starts?
