Hi. I been looking at some Botswana listed companies recently including Tlou. The chat here is like a time warp then. The potential is still the same ie massive opportunity to help the country be more energy self-sufficinet yet the Govt has not thrown its weight behind CBM. Why is that? Can it be corruption in some guise ie to keep CBM down so that pockets continue to be lined through coal of import purchase - i often thought it was the latter.
Also seems now that GIlby and management team are content to proceed at Govt and Ministry pace. Something else i fnd bizarre given their promotional efforts say 5-10 years back.
Coal seams in Botswana are not particularly deep and they are not particularly thick. That increases the risk of greater CO2 content v methane apparently. Could this be why they never share the gas content composition.
Does anyone know what tariff Tlou has agreed for their first PPA? Since this is a demonstraton of Tlou's ability, I hope they have not low-balled first time around since how would they push for higher tariffs on future PPA for higher MWs.
Every dog is supposed to have its day; here's hoping Tlou doesnt continue to buck that trend. This one has been a long time in the making. I am genuinely amazed by the continued support of a few posters here.
