Sekaname say they have 3 projects per this ceremony today. Gas to 6MW pilot power (increasing another 90MW) and LNG (I opined previously this could be Botala; seems not) and green Hydrogen (maybe Brad's link below).

Quite impressive they had 3 Ministers there at signing - Mines & Energy; Defence & Security and Foreign Affairs. Been working at CBM for 18 years, spent US$57 million so far (not sure I can believe that). Do you still think they have disappeared Brad ?

What it says to me is everyone here is 10 years too early.

That is an interesting perspective for sure. There has been no news (that i have seen) about Sekaname and/or SM progress - yet Brad speaks with his usual authority about them. I wonder if he can bring himself to admit that 'little olde donkey' urged caution how many years ago about progressing CBM in Botswana - after all, isnt this why he disagreed with so much of what 'little olde donkey' posted. I wouldnt be holding my breath on that.

I would be reasonably confident that cpvid really has not delayed Tlou's and CBM progress in Botswana that much. My basis - the IRP for energy security was released before covid and it stated CBM delivery in 2026. So maybe the 'clowns' at Govt had a strategic plan all along ...... And maybe they didnt' - we will never know.

Free - we heard about solar, SynMet, crypto, and a few other pivots along the Tlou journey - is there a good reason to believe what TG or CC tell us is the next taxi off the rank ?

PS I am not being negative on Tlou potential, far from it. I am simply pointing out the billybigb*ll*cks nonsense we all had to swallow along the way as articulated by the 'dream team' management team ,,,,,,,,,,,

Looks like the PS to Ministry of Energy doesnt hold the consensus view from this Board that CBM power generation is going to light up Botswana then.

You guys can carry on in your little cosy cabal poking fun at at 'a little olde donkey' (says more about who i wonder) or you could maybe trying stretching your mental agilities on Tlou's SWOT analysis. There is more to that than waiting for the mega day that they announce they have connected to the grid and injected some power.

This link provides interesting insight into problems and challenges for Regulators of electricity generation in African countries - ie the Regulators neither have the skills set nor are they independent.

Hindsight makes us all very clever. But really some of the absolute tosh posted here by folks back in 2016-2018 really was nothing more than blatant attempts at price ramping. Folks like Tidd, Buzz and Miner - what they tried on here can now been seen for what it was. How many of you believed the hype etc.......

Link posted previously to a LNG pilot project using CBM - not sure who will supply the CBM though. Seems to fit more with Botala than Tlou (they would have told us if it was them surely). Also the mmegi article is interesting, saying Govt trys avoid soverign guarantees for large projects (historical problem on this with Morupule B expansion with Chinese). I wonder how Jindal 300MW fits here however. And also if this is reason Sekaname 97MW plant seems dead in a ditch (probably not; more likely BPC is just insolvent).

LAstly what I cannot figure out is why Govt/ Ministry made Tlou wait so long with final approvals (TX line, PPA, etc) just to deliver a 2 or 10 MW plant. It is really quite small. And there is a plethora of other small energy plants now progressing. Weird.

Some facts for you Free. Annual Report showed 450m shares in issued with TG owning 21.7m, ie 4.8% economic interest. Annual Report 2023 shows 1.024m shares issued with TG owning 50m, ie 4.8% economic interest. At face value, well done TG for keep your % ownership the same.

But Free, best not forget that Dr now has 5m loan at 10% coupon, convertible at 3.5 cents sure, which he wont convert if good times dont roll around the corner reasonably soon - 10% adds up pdq ! And oh yes, remind me where loans rank as Creditors v Equity......

So fair enough TG may still be the main man in Tlou, and he may not have lost total control of the company - but the Dr has 34% equity ownership of Tlou (357m shares) and $5m loan (143m shares if converted at 3.5 cents). So slightly above 500m shares on fully diluted basis.

Most Chartered Accountant Institutes would beg to educate that he who hath 50-plus percent has 'control' - we can debate the finer points of how much control next time you are in Gabs. You know where to find me.

TG is of course most fortunate he has the Dr backing him. And by default, so are we since otherwise Tlou would be lost in a ditch long time ago. I think the point you were trying to make in your post is that this TG journey to deliver CBM in Botswana has not developed in the way envisaged in the first listing Prospectus. But good on him; TG has stuck at it. As have his band of merry men - do you think they are going to get adequately rewarded for their time and effort .......

This SONA is longer that previous years. And the President referenced a few times about delivery against the 2019 manifesto. So that confirms for me that Govt has one big focus ahead for next 10 months - sadly it will be all about Elections. That is not goos for decision making and progress of projects that they really cannot spin into a good news story claiming jobs creation.

Still Tlou is not a national project and it has access to the money needed to (I hope) finish it off and connect to grid. His mention of Tlou Energy in the speech is very meaningful imo. It means Ministry are behind the project and wont be playing silly games, as is their way with projects quite often.

That is quite a mouthful to read then. I did wonder when reading through why they didnt just go for a share consolidation of say 10 for 1, or even 100 for 1. But more than likely, the theoretical post consolidation price would be hammered back down to the 1 pence level again rather quickly.

Something however clever will need to be done here if they dont soon get money in from either of the pozzolan deposits.

This is a hard watch / listen - but he gets to Energy at around 2hrs 15 mins in. Good for Tlou - they get a mention. That is actually a good achievement.

You guys really do need to stop feeling so insecure about your Tlou investment. Really you do !!

Boards are for 2 way conversation. You guys cannot seem to bear to hear anyone being critical or negative about the company or your posts. There is enough history here of posters with only one aim in life - to ramp Tlou to the heavens. Look how well that turned out. Maybe if they or Tlou management had not been so obvious in those efforts years back, I might have toned down some of my rhetoric - but history is history. Why dont you guys try to move on.....

Well you cannot build much without being able to pay for it. This has a 10% coupon which if not repaid for 2 years will soon add to a decent chunk of coupon - at least another 150m shares issued. I guess you guys noticed TG lost control of Tlou quite some time ago - just that you never mentioned it. This is, in effect, a reverse takeover by stealth.

I assume the good Dr has no interest in long-term owning and operating a gas project in Botswana, so TG must have told him there is an expectation, hopefully an advanced plan, to sell Tlou to an industry player who can develop the Resource/ Reserves in the year ahead. At what price I wonder ,,,,,,,,,

Tough negotiations ahead I suspect because Tlou's ownership structure and balance sheet does not portray strength to the other side of the table. 5 cents aussie would probably be a remarkably good price all things considered. It certainly isn't, in my opinion, going to be 10 cents or more - but what do i know. So many shares in issue by then which many here seemed to think a few years back was not that relevant.

In summary - Tlou will soon be on the market For Sale !

Again, I never said Tlou were wrong to pursue gas to power. And, if you care to check, I said that gas to power generation is what underpins the development of a gas industry in-country. There is nothing new or unusal in that; and neither was I criticising that.

As said in my last post, if the cabal expectation is my every post is criticism of Tlou, then respectfully I suggest its time to 'refresh your browers'.
