I have been playing my numbers for 14 years on Royal.

I haven't paid for a cruise since the first one, the rest have all been comp'd.

I'm $40,000 down across 14 years, but have had well over $300,000 of free cruises, plus specialities, plus perfumes, after-shaves, handbags etc. etc all comp'd spend.

Watch the tables, it's a bit like the stock market, they have a run of bad, then a run of good. It's just timing, getting in on the good.

Glad it worked out, but the trick is not to get carried away.! Know when to walk away.!

UK gross domestic product grew by 0.7% quarter-on-quarter in the three months to March, recovering after falls of 0.3% and 0.1% in the previous two quarters, and topping the prior estimate of a 0.6% increase.

TICK..... That's one half of the key things today over with. $ vs £ already dropped by 0.25c. That gives us another boost.

That is 28c or 22p for us in the morning......

Also, Viking Cruises shot up from red to over 4.7% up by close. Something is pushing ......!!!

I was down before the cut off of selling so held, now I'm up, but the selling fee is 0.75% exchange rate fee + £25 selling fee, so will just leave them until they are post results, then sell.

TUI Results are the 14th August.

Both IAG and TUI should be massive gains from todays prices "In My Honest Opinion"....

Why IAG is not well over £2 by now is anybodies guess, but that may well happen after 2nd August.

If the UK GDP Numbers are good and the US PCE Numbers are right, we will have an absolutely awesome day, as the Pound will drop, and the US main indexes will be +1% +++........ If it's all wrong, we will be extremely lucky to hold at losing 2%.

So with the nervousness surrounding the markets for tomorrow, they managed to drop RCL by 1.5%, NCL by 1.5% but CUK is still 0.15% Up........

Now that is quite impressive for Carnival for a change.!

and they took another 1.7% off of RR.!

and they've walked IAG down from 186 down to 161. IAG will pop when it gets close to the results, if not before then.

LOL.

A 30p swing downwards and then a 28p swing upwards.

You can't make this stuff up.

Obviously a bit of a tree shake to trigger stop losses close to the line or scare people into selling.

US overall ended flat today really, so if everyone believes the US PCE to be positive prior to Friday's numbers, then tomorrow will be good.

Friday is UK GDP Numbers released at 7am, which if good, the bOE may reduce rates, which reduces the exchange rate, which means CUK will go up.

Friday is also US PCE Numbers.

Worked out my numbers wrong earlier..... 13.35% to go.

On the comparison one.

If you use the drop downs on the left hand side, you can compare the operating profit, the operating expense, the EPS etc. etc.

You can clearly see that Carnival have HUGE Overheads vs Royal's, which is why Royal is now way above Pre-Covid, and CCL isn't.

And, because I'm clever, this is both side by side, or should I say, line by line.

I assumed you meant debt, not dept, so yes, agreed, but they are paying it off, and have now restructured it to much lower rates, so the debt will come down quicker because they will have extra cash because the interest repayments are lower.

I've just realised as well....

The GBP has lost 0.01c to the USD, so we went from $1.27/£1 to £1.26/£1, which again, helps CUK and therefore us.

That's why CUK has gone up more than CCL today in % terms.

If the UK GDP Numbers show growth, that will put even more pressure on the BOE to drop rates, hopefully in August, which should then, hopefully, drop the GBP even more in the short term, and give us an even extra bounce.

It's an extra 10p for every 1c exchange rate drop.

If the BOE Announce rate drops, or are likely to, the GBP could drop to $1.20, which basically is another 60p+
