A 'small fire' aboard Icon of the Seas caused a brief power loss while the ship was docked at Costa Maya, Mexico Tuesday afternoon.

The fire was isolated to a crew area and quickly extinguished by the onboard team, with no injuries reported, a Royal Caribbean spokesperson told Seatrade Cruise News.

Power quickly restored

Icon of the Seas' backup generator kicked in and power was quickly restored, according to the spokesperson.

As a precaution, the gangways were temporarily closed. Passenger impact may have been limited because many people were likely ashore.

Ship will sail as planned

There were no immediate specifics on any damage, but Icon of the Seas will sail as planned, the spokesperson said.

The world's largest cruise ship is on a seven-day roundtrip from PortMiami that departed June 22. A call at Cozumel is scheduled Wednesday.

So IF The BOE drops the Interest rates before the US, then the GBP £ gets weaker, which mean the exchange rate drops, which means that the UK Price of CUK goes up.!

Suffice to say, with my holding, I am now breathing a sigh of relief.

Against $5.67bn and -0.01c EPS.

with strong bookings for the rest of 2024, and full year 2025.....

Yet another Analyst expectation Number......

Analysts are expecting earnings per share to come in at -$0.02 on revenue of $5.69 billion.

So anywhere between -$0.02 and +$0.01 EPS and $5.67bn to $5.70bn Revenue, depending on which site you want to look at.

So if we beat these numbers, then I guess we will tank a lot as they will want to get cheaper shares quickly.!

And now we are where the US Closed last night, $14.73 >> £11.56

So we've already dropped 24p from the US After hours close.

Could today be the bigger drop day ever ...?!?!?!?

or are the big boys trying to frighten people into selling so they can get more shares cheap.

Nobody will know until it's too late.!

Icon of the Seas truly is a completely different cruise experience unlike any other ship or cruise I've ever been on.

Would strongly recommend Icon.

Even the buffet, every night, was awesome. I didn't need to go anywhere else.

Racks of Lamb, T-Bone steaks, Salmon en-croute, and may many many many more

Also, despite me saying I wasn't going to gamble, I did, played all week and broke even with a Junior Suite certificate for my next booking for free.
