Did kefi want to really leave saudi6 Jan 2025 18:28
Electriclion you may not read this as I'm sure I'm greenboxed , nethertheless your last post i agreed with so much off , ie I also believe any potential saudi sale is months away, I reckon any agreement for the 15% with ARTAR or any other party would be announced witha exclusivity periods until completion.
I also think the cash will naturally be reinvested into the company , they could get away with some aggressive exploration with some good pr to appease shareholders and attract new investors. I'd also imagine this might be a time for a potential share consolidation. (If the sale goes through with numbers projected from Harry's personal lse accountants)
That said your first line simply got me thinking so started a new thread for a new debate.
DID KEFI WANT OUT , OR WERE THEY FORCED OUT?
it's a genuine question , the world is trying to get into Saudi with their 2030 vision , harry has said so on many occasions how well postioned kefi in the middle east , but now Harry simply wants to walk away to concentrate on majority owned projects.
Everyone knows how much cash saudi are throwing at exploration , demonstrated by ARTARS aggressive exploration. But harry simply choose to walk away.
everybody knows we had a confirmed deposit in saudi that's only gonna get bigger , but harry again chose to walk away.
My gut feeling is ARTAR is a beast and little kefi and harry in comparison simply couldn't afford to meet the financial implications of such a aggressive spending project , harry lost more and more of that project as time went on to such a extent they were forced out.
My personal feeling is I don't believe for a second harry walked away from saudi with konso in mind , but he had to say something positive to appease shareholders. I think it was all about the finances
But i would be open to some sensible debate , hoping that the counter argument isn't , harry done well moving away from saudi which is great buisness because moving away from a confirmed deposit to no deposit was the right thing to do
