Lyndon is that aimed at me?
If what Mike said was the complete opposite and was saying sell sell sell this board would be all over it , yet say buy buy buy its OK with very little reason behind it.
Maybe just look back on all my posts before you consider me a deramper or a plank , I'm normally called a ramper because I challenge the views on derampers.
Yet here I am being called a deramper because I believe someone shouting buy buy buy isn't the right thing to do.
Clearly a board I néed to just be a lurker on , plenty of good posters still here, many have stopped posting. Something I'm fine doing
People won't go to the cinema but looking to get back in haha.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61489041
One of the big arguments here from the derampers is the likes of netflix will take over , well that theory didn't turn out well.
Now the roads will be empty because no-one can afford fuel.
Foods on the shelfs will be plentiful as no-one can afford food.
Cinemas will be empty as a consequence, let's see when top gun and jurassic Park come out if blackbridge theory is correct.
Yesterday it was also announced there were more jobs going then unemployed for the first time ever , a chance for us all to earn money
Blimey been here 2 days and offered 14 posts of pure ramping,
Just as dangerous as the derampers.
Totally agree, i will listen to opinions on the case but won't get too involved.
1) I can add very little
2) I don't velveteen it's as one sided as some think it is.
If the judgement is well over the top , justice will hopefully serve in a substantial reduced sum
HNS I do like reading your posts regarding the case , ots clear you do a lot of research.
Mountainous I still fancy a out of court , I saw something on Google that Said over 90% of lawsuits are settled out of court, virtually on the courthouse steps after months of prep and expense.
There are also advantages , i would imagine privacy may come to that for a period of time until accounts are shown, negotiated compensation both party's happy with , costs , etc etc and I'm sure no more legal challenges as both parties happy.
I would prefer this outcome personally and then move on from it , depends on how much both believe they are In the right.
Huss the dates were told by the cineplex chief to cineplex investors, here's a extract from the article shared by Leo.....
The Cineplex chief also updated investors on the favorable ruling from an Ontario court over a breach of contract lawsuit brought against Regal owner Cineworld Group PLC. Jacob said the Regal owner’s appeal of the Canadian court decision — which includes awarded damages of $1.236 billion in lost synergies from an abandoned takeover deal and $5.5 million in transaction costs — will be heard Oct. 12 and Oct. 13.
I wasnt trying to prove you wrong lpd , if it was a cost per rns then letting us know about the court for instance would of been more appropriate via the website.
If we pay 20k for a license fee to have unlimited the there are not really any excuses for not letting us know.
In all honestly I wasn't 100% sure hence why I asked you about the 2k per rns.
Lpd this document here and I have only glanced at it suggests as I said it's a 20k a year fee for the licence.
You then publish rns as and when required , could your 2k be wrong or am I missing something in the document.

Lpd just out of curiosity where did you get the figure for 2k a rns , is this just opinion or something you have seen or discussed previously somewhere else , I'd be interested to know the figure.
Whinging we are entitled to do , I pay my money into the firm and have right to do express my views when I'm not happy about something. As does others.
I don't agree with only ever realising a rns if it has significance to the share price , comitee chamges , block monthly reviews and small change in holdings in the company has hardly set the s.poving in either direction.
Maybe it's a case of them simply having too.
Guys we are not talking about secret stuff here , like finances , take over deals or netflix streaming theor product on our screens , all this is price sensitive.
We are simply talking about 2 dates that the court has scheduled for the appeal to take place.
No leaks needed , and I feel investors have the right to be disappointed this news which in my opinion didn't need to be through a rns wasn't passed on to the shareholders that have invested their own money into.
No conspiracy theory's needed.
My understanding and I'm sure I'll be corrected if Im wrong is rns are a yearly fee , ie you pay the fee and have as much as you like.
Another company I'm invested in have multiple projects and rns come at least one twice a week and this was raised.
I'm unsure if this is standard procedure or just a option you can take.
Ie if you anticipate only a few a year pay as you go or if lots a fee for the lot. But I'm sure it was something like 20k for as many as you want.
I'll see if I can dig out what was said
No probs for sharing......
I was gonna reply and ask why the dates were not shared , however I have got it of my chest here and even if they replied here's the reason, it still won't make a difference as I believe they were wrong not to announce it.
I'm not going to go on about the lack of comms now over 2 dates , they done wrong in my opinion on this instance and we move on.
Back to the movies and with luck plenty of good reading with decent numbers over the next few months , getting some decent revenue right now is without doubt the most important thing.
Bring on top gun and jurassic Park
Rs2002 totally agree , this time yesterday the news was just sinking in.
It's not like we have been waiting weeks
After my thread yesterday rather then moan on here I decided to email investor relations on the media speculation of the appeal date.
My last 2 emails didn't have the best tone and therefore wasn't answered , another gripe of mine , but not the purpose of this thread. I did however just simply ask the question.
My email was .....
Good afternoon , it has been reported in numerous media sites that the appeal date against the cineplex judgement has been set for 12th and 13th October.
Can i conform this is correct please.
Kind regards xxx
My reply was.....
Good afternoon xxxx
Yes correct, the appeal will take place on the 12th and 13th October. It has been confirmed by the court.
As the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted in Canada, It will be held in person (no streaming)
We believe that the Court of Appeal is likely to pass judgment by Q1 2023 (according to our legal counsel)
Kind regards

I still feel very disappointed this wasn't relayed in the agm or to its shareholders. Forget appeal process , and holding things close to our chest for court etc , relaying just the dates is not a big ask considering the importance of this event and how its likley going to steer cineworlds course post November
My opinion of course
Nice article , having netflix on board showing their conrenrt for longer in my opinion is a no brainer.
We could really start filling up our slots with their movies while making some good money along the way, also a no brainer foebthe netflix fans that want to see either on the big screen before being released on their own platform.
Makes perfect sence for all parties involved.
Repyrr imagine what it will do to the s.p if films all flopped.
All we can hope for is our films to achieve each potential , if it doesn't touch the s.p per film we will certainly see ot in the s.p when we announce the results.
Small steps in the right direction is better then 2 steps forward , 3 back
Have we not had positive after positive already?
Anyone that needs reminding we have a first class assets here shouldn't be investing
Market is very volitile , I would imagine Sweden and Finland will mean there will be some strong words to add to that volatility.
2.5 years ago the world hadn't heard of covid as well as all its little brothers and sisters that would create further lockdowns. Russia wasn't invading anyone ,inflation wasn't going up up and away and man utd were actually quite a good team.
Australia doesn't seem central right now tobthe above and I'm here for another 2.5 years so a awful lot can change.
Today's s.p means nothing to me unless I'm topping up
