My understanding of HSS Hire is that it is more of a tool hire specialist, it rents out tools, and generators, but those generators are small and portable, such as those used in domestic scenarios. I could be wrong. Nevertheless, I agree that a financially succesful Speedy hire is good for AFC.

thanks, hydro, mainly for not taking my post the wrong way. i think it’s best to keep the tone realistic and focussed on deliverables. if we facilitate and give room to hype then there could be a tendency to play in to that. similarly the time to be overly pessimistic about afc is also over, you’re either in because you see the prospects and you’re happy with it, or you’re not invested. it’s not a great time to be a shorter in this stock either and perhaps that’s the best outcome of recent comms.

Edin, yes he said that the tech works, in this case, the pilot cracker, which is not the final product to be sold to end clients. I’m anxious to see the final hy-5 system (containerised) built, and working because that is what we’re relying on as shareholders..

It’s still all if’s and maybes until they deliver tangible outcomes in the form of product validation and revenues through the door. As we’ve seen in the past you can change CEO’s, release broker and tip reports, interview CEO’s but the missing pieces of the jigsaw remain.

We await product validation for both cracker and newest generation of fuel cells at this point, let’s not forget that.

He's definitely saying the right things. The one thing I always thought about with AB was 'how are we going to do all of this, how are we prioritising?' - but feel more secure in this regard with JW.

What did everyone think about his comments about the Tamgo relationship?

I don't think JW would do that if he didn't think the interviewer's views in the recent report had validity." - Accept this point broadly, but the interview still did not address the difference in basis for the valuation. I.e 50 Hy-5's by end of 2026, although JW did refer back to his number of two Hy-5's.

The report is exciting, but must be balanced against actual statements and expectations set by the company which differ in some key areas. I would treat it the same as any of the many broker reports we have seen in the past. I agree that as a lth collective we have been fed news to keep us happy but now happy for silences if it means the next update is substantive. Personally I wouldn’t expect anything until calendar q2 next year…

I wonder when we will get to see the first Hy-5 system...

Boring is what this is going to be until the company says something meaningful. I’ll next post when that happens…

The first cracker is a pilot plant and not the final product. That they will have one hy5 by the end of next year still supports what I’m saying in that there is a gap in the expected numbers. The two in early 2027 has been taken from a chart in the video around 34min from memory.

@cn I’m pretty sure the author does cite 50 hy 5 as his base case, whereas afc say that by the end of next year they will have a couple of prototypes and early 2027 there will be the first two customer units.

‘As production ramps up 50 will be minuscule’ - what you’re missing here is that as of today, a full containerised hy-5 does not exist in real life. They need to build it test it, test it in the field etc, before they can think about ramping up production. They are creating this product from scratch, so I think 2027 is a more realistic timeframe to have testing, prototyping and certification done. They can’t just create these things out of thin air and we can’t expect they’re going to be pushing these out at scale before they’ve completed these stages. I’m not trying to pour cold water over the hype but for me there’s a big gap in what is stated by the company and this article. For the fuel cells to really fly off the shelves the fuelling of them needs to be in place. Afc have only even created 20 fuel cells, for that they have a partner, for the hy 5 we don’t currently that’s in house, so all of that still would need to be put in place…

I re watched the last YouTube video - the investor update. As part of the outlook around 32 minutes John Wilson says the goal is to containerise, test and certify the by 5 units in 2026 with the use of the proceeds being for four units. This is why I said the 50 cited as ‘realistic’ by the author felt lofty. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take the sp rise but I would highlight this as an inaccuracy and also urge people to stick to the expectations from management, which I think are good enough…

For fuel cells as far as I understand

I like what he’s written but the big question is going to be whether afc are in the position to be able to produce 50 hy-5’s in a year that’s one a week on top of industrial and fuel cell projects. I obviously hope we can but as much as I enjoyed reading was wondering whether the expectations are a bit lofty. I do agree though that any kind of positive progress which puts revenue confidence in any of the partnerships should see it rise from here.

You have no basis at all to make this assertion. It is entirely possible that afc announce progression and / or deals that propel this during 2026 and you know it otherwise you wouldn’t be in this little pocket of the internet.

Perhaps they’ll announce something after the budget…
