Being partnered with an S&P 500 company that's going to pay for development of the cracker significantly de-risks AFC energy, and especially the cracker side of the business.

If things go positively, and the firm thinks it's best to just buy the technology and take it in house (likely in the event that all milestones are met) - the cost is likely to run in to the hundreds of millions of pounds. This prospect alone should support the share price for some time to go. Announced milestones with product development make these prospects a lot more likely. Further we are likely to find out about deployments which will give us a feel of the markets and scale of the partner we are working with.

My question to you - how much is a company with a proven set of cracker products that can be produced at scale, worth?

Look down the list of 'Industrials' in the S&P 500, and there's two names that stick out to me. I am not going to say who just yet, to see if anyone agrees with me.

I have just read the RNS. I am super happy that a company in the s&P 500 is partnering with AFC to develop the cracker technology. This is super exciting as it de-risks the company significantly as they will be paying the costs for development of our products. Also there is likely to be material impact in just over 18 months. This leaves the cash to be invested in to the fuel cell business...

AFC’s usp’s are as you say its compact design and energy efficiency, and mobility, so could for example someone announce that they’re creating 100 hydrogen refuelling trucks based on ammonia cracking? I’m sure BP / Shell would be interested in that.

It’s acknowledgement that afc does have at this point the largest. This must be the other company that has a similar technology, if they are creating a 28 tonne pilot plant, imagine what AFC’s next step could be with a partner.

You’re missing my point, heath. If upper and tk can partner to create a massive pilot plant, afc can partner with, for example, Shell to do exactly the same in the uk.

Despite the comment about afc, it is nonetheless great publicity for afc and the tech.

We should be applauding their success as it builds the case for fuel cells. That’s positive for afc.

What news is expected this week or next?

It really dosn't matter if there is one, two or three other crackers out there - it's actually good at this early stage to show there is a market. Even if you look at developed markets, such as generators, cars etc, theres always more than one player in the space, this argument is just dumb.
