Totally optional but on a yearly basis we used to get lovely emails saying “invest in your future, invest in wood”. These emails still are coming out to this day at the start of every tax year. I purchase 2 shares and get 2 free through the SIP and ESP schemes I put into and money is taken from my monthly payroll.

Over a 15 year or so period I’ve committed about £80k total into the scheme and it’s currently sitting £17,400 as of this morning. I don’t care what others are in for or what their losses are. I’d consider a £62k loss quite a hit to anyone. But then I’m only speaking for myself. Who knows, I might be in for more than you? 🤷🏻‍♂️

My investment is now at a stage where the money I’ve got left is immaterial what happens to it and to my life. You may consider that a gamble or a bad investment decision, I view it as almost a no lose decision with what is left as it makes no real bearing on my life.
