I’m actually offshore right now loving life 🤣🤣🤣. Home for Christmas though is all that matters. Hoping that Rosebank and Jackdaw get the green light soon or the oil and gas industry may as well just pack it in.

Yeah, next year will be no different to the standard 5/6 year downturn more than likely. Major job losses expected at all these companies which are merging shell/equinor, respol/neo and then Sidara will show their teeth after a year of employee contracts being ringfenced. Sad time.

That horse is right in the middle of bolting so they better chop chop. That’s 23 people on the past week that have either resigned or contract has ended and not being retained, few shockers in there for me and guys I’ve worked with 30 years experience on brownfield projects. Nobody is stupid up here, they’ve seen how this plays out all before. Delighted I’m away from it all now cause in a year, the inevitable cost cutting measures and extreme trimming will take place.

I also said we were getting emails telling us to vote for the deal as well, which was also correct. I’ve kept the emails confirming it before I left the premises.

Forwarded contract wins which were from our emails also.

Think it’s fair to say you’ve not caught me in anything. Must have me mixed up with someone else with all the lies you tell. Shame.

Some of the chaps offshore have had a Wood check in this morning and their Senior project manager had specifically said “the takeover will not be fully confirmed till the very back end of the first half of the year”.

For any of those that think it’ll be completed in Q1, living in cuckoo land. Lots of comms being shared internally across teams and departments, but that’s from the offshore team I used to manage specifically.

It’s okay, I accepted a horrible outcome when I exited the premises months ago now. Managed to pick some bones out of the rubble at least so not all lost.

I just know for a fact that a lot of highly skilled and very good people will be inevitably for the chopping block within a year. It’s happening all over Aberdeen as we speak. I work in Adura now and the staff have been ring fenced for a year then we all know what happens after that. Wrestling match for reduced number of roles. Real shame.

They’ve tried to dress it up as a good thing for the company, but working in the city everyone knows the inevitable outcome.

Think I’ll get out about down £38k and some change.

1: I’ve already stated I’m losing quite a bit through my share employee scheme over 15 years, I’m an ex employee, far cry from what Ice and Romanby are.

2: It’s person and not perdon, if you’re going to make yourself at least sound clever, bring the kings to the table.

3: Seek help if you think I’m being paid for this when I’ve already said I stand to lose about 15 years worth of salary sacrifice.
