As a PI I’m entitled to challenge when it’s apparent they are struggling to close a project and the financial decisions look worrying. I’ve been more than happy to put my concerns in email directly to them to which they don’t answer. Hardly a naysayer!

Meanwhile Eqtec are still faffing around with delays and missing the boats. It doesn’t matter about whether it’s the same technology, councils etc want companies that can deliver solutions and on time. We are still at the stage of announcing partnerships/MOU’s/Planning/tinkering with plants that we are trying to bring back to life and chucking no end of money at.

There is nothing but talk of potential from the BOD, they are simply losing the confidence of many by the day. I never wanted to be writing this sort of post, I wanted like everyone to see a project close. Just one that’s all and they may get more attention for the right reasons. At the moment it just looks calamitous with robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Appreciate they’ve been buying up shares but is that a desperate decision/sentiment or are they certain.

They may well have a trump card up their sleeve that will turn this around but either way they’ve created an awful lot of damage to their own credibility - shareholders were taken in by what appeared to be honest, open and transparent communications, to then be stamped on. If a lot of us out there think so, those looking to go into partnership and who already have a MOA/collaboration will also be thinking the same. It isn’t going smoothly, we are tripping along from one issue to another. It’s all looked a bit dire.

Exactly, good to read the research but it is someone’s personal opinion and take on a situation and that’s why the debate and not the spats has been good to read. They are only ever going to be accurate if the evidence is in the supporting documents posted with them. Dare we look forward to a far better week, hopefully.

Lack of regard even . . . It’s late I need a beer after today :-(

If I ever manage to recoup what I’ve lost here I will get out. I’m aware of the risks on AIM, I have other shares, but for me it’s about their sheer arrogance and total lack of disregard to their longterm investors - happy of late to regurgitate the same answers in yet another interview, when they knew what was going on in the background, but can’t face their own shareholders and answer concerns promptly. Still no response to my email. I think they have lost a lot of trust.

They shy away from the very difficult questions and carry on regardless as they seem to be doing here - the irresponsible decisions to the obvious detriment of those who’ve invested their hard earned money, they remain silent on.

I did my research or I thought I had and like very many others, I believed what they were saying, the technology, strategy and potential, competency of those in charge of those critical decisions . . . their updates and timelines. How wrong was I on most of those, I’ve lost so much here, I don’t even want to think about it and I’m still counting. Nervous isn’t the word - not a good week at all.

The directors showed ‘some confidence’ a few weeks ago when they did such an informative interview and then look what happened! I’m not sure I take comfort from the fact they have invested more . . . their reputation has taken an almighty hit.

Dear Eqtec,
If you have anything about you as a credible company then you would meet us, your shareholders and answer the concerns that we all have. Your interview next week certainly needs to go ahead to explain the chaos, but you should also allow us to have an open forum with you, preferably in an evening. Send us a link so that we can put to you the questions that we want explanations for and not the prearranged ones you are happy to field. The IR of the company leaves a lot to be desired, it’s been disastrous along with some of the decisions, the very least you can do following your complete car crash of a week is face those who have invested their hard earned money.

The obvious worry is the decision makers looking to solutions and investment will also take a look here and see a history of continued delays and a lack of progress in closing projects. They won’t want to be tied in with that. The next best thing will look even better to take a punt on and this will be left behind. Eqtec need to concern themselves with the fact that they may miss out completely at this rate.

Skeleton you cut short the life of a great share - what on earth possessed you to bury this in the graveyard with those who succumbed to a death spiral. Commiserations all round, it was too young to give up the battle on. It was time to start digging, in fact digging really deep . . . not to commit it to a past life but to find your reserves and hold your nerve. I think you should gather your bones and have a bash at bringing it back to life in your portfolio. Jump back in tomorrow morning, ride the storm and watch the dark clouds disperse . . . you will enjoy the journey ;-)

Well I reluctantly did grumble on here the other day. I feel it hugely important that Eqtec keep on top of updating with progress. I give North Fork as an example . . .

Anyone doing their own research to potentially invest is forming what sort of opinion reading this and on a project too that we’ve ploughed more money into.

They need to be on this straight away - give out their own update - not just a picture with some bloke in a hard hat ;-) I’m sure things have happened in 3 months and if they haven’t why? In fact they’ve previously released an RNS because of poorly worded updates by others. It shouldn’t get to that point.

The other day we get a tweet about an event instead - great for the company to be recognised for, but the negativity generated by periods of silence, particularly when the markets are so volatile, begins to gain momentum and does it’s own damage.

It was a really good interview today and much needed, but I do think more attention needs to be paid to situations such as the one mentioned. This interview covered a whole host of issues and I’m sure was received far better than keep re-tweeting about the capability of the tech - which as one poster mentioned ‘sounds desperate’

I’m a long term PI, in fact I started with Wood and Petrofac and I have been here for quite a while and certainly will be for years to come with this share. As said before, hugely appreciate the detailed posts and research that some of you put out. Think I should join the telegram group.

They’ve given the maximum time frame for due diligence

8 weeks for now Nasher but we’ve heard the confidence before and it’s not materialised. It’s now been over a year since their announcement of a collaboration with Toyota and they are still in discussions about progressing that site.

Yet more delays for Deeside! Exactly why we have been held to the eleventh hour to be notified.

I’m sorry but I reluctantly agree and I have to say Investor Relations are dire at responding to a shareholder . . . they don’t. I emailed back in February and I’m still awaiting a response. So if that’s how I’m treated as a long term private investor, that says it all.

They seem to be stuck on repeat when it comes to updating the markets and the markets are getting fed up - it isn’t reassuring or having a positive impact - far from it. A recovery to the placing price seems a million miles away.

At a time when a project closure is desperately needed to give credibility and to turn the heads of the bigger investors, this company are left wanting.

The research going on in the background is an absolute given, they need to continually strive to be the best, adapt processes and respond to current demands. But they need to put more focus on getting the North Fork and UK projects completed and they need to update on time. Leaving things to the eleventh, moving goal posts, really isn’t doing the business any good.

We are all aware of the constraints and the impact of global events but it is high time we made some decent headway.

There is a North Fork Community Project Board Meeting next week on the 27/6.
