Those timings have come from previous announcements by the CEO which he has not delivered on and certainly the financial decisions have been worrying. While they are taking an age to get things over the line - there is the risk of other technology pushing ahead as a solution.

Great technology, we know that, able to modify for different feedstocks BUT they can’t seem to close a project anytime soon and they are running to very lengthy timelines for closure on anything - that’s not reassuring for anyone looking to invest or collaborate etc.

In July 2021 DP gave an interview in which he stated they were ‘focussed on the execution’ of projects and here we are over a year later and waiting for Autumn - which can be the end of the year as no specific target date given. We’ve gone from months to seasons when it comes to committing ourselves to a timeline for closure.

We were also entering 2022 with ‘a stronger balance sheet’ - one which resulted in a loan and another placing in short succession.

Just under 18 months ago, they announced they were in collaboration with Toyota for 3 years to hopefully provide power to one of its plants. Half of that timeline has gone already and so we’ve got just 18 months to complete that and judging by their track record, I won’t hold my breath. The continued delays have had a seriously negative impact on their reputation and the share price. There is no sense of urgency to turn this situation around.

Well I guess when you have a company here that has great technology but is taking forever to get it operational, you will see others stepping in with alternatives.

To build credibility as a viable solution, they need to close a project imminently - I’m not sure what bit of that they don’t get. They seem to have struggled with their own business plan and associated finance and that has lost them ground and more importantly investor interest.

You tend to get chastised on this board if a word is spoken against this small research and development company . . .

‘Why the negativity, we should know that the aim index is exposed to risk’ - we do, investing in the stock market is a risk anyway, even with large established companies.

If you challenge over the views of world events etc. that have caused all the issues for EQT, you are wrong - those other companies who have risen more sharply today have also had the same challenges.

At the end of the day the belt should have been kept tight at all times, you can’t afford to throw money around, irrespective of what’s happened in recent times. It’s been damaging as have the continued delays.

The business model is reliant on other companies stepping in and footing the bill at various stages in the project, ones who have also been exposed to the constraints. Whether they have deeper pockets or not, they will be doing what we should have done - been super cautious about our next move.

I’m here for the duration too aandi but you have to admit it’s been very frustrating to see some of the decisions. Not being unkind and hope I’m not an arse - my comment was posted with a wink. Have always appreciated your detailed postings as said several times on here, wish I was as positive but I find it concerning for sure.

???????? unsure what that has got to do with wanting to know why he hasn’t been visible in explaining some very poor decisions. Is that calling for his head? . . . it’s asking for accountability and answers from an FD to serious concerns I’m sure very many PI’s have.

In answer to your statement as I’m sure you’ve placed me in that group . . . indeed I have changed roles more frequently than some professions, tends to be looked as a positive on the CV in the sector I work in. It has given me many years of experience of managing services in the public and private sector.

aandi, appreciate the postings but you have to admit it’s been a bit of a shocker of late. The financial decisions have been poor - a CEO with a finance background leading it all and the FD who can’t show his face after a recent loan and placing - his area of expertise therefor also accountable for the decisions. North Fork not coming online till at least another year by the looks of things, if ever - money sunk into a project going nowhere anytime soon. To have any chance of surviving they have to close a project pretty damn fast and stop taking on further ones which they are struggling with on a number of levels. They need to provide an update.

Negativity? it’s a fact!

It’s not about the technology/ the pipeline ticking along ‘slowly’ in the background. It means nothing when you keep failing to meet the deadlines that you set yourself very publicly : . . even just one of them we’d be grateful for.

There are others out there with tech that offers an alternative solution to a global problem and likely with a record of delivering in a timely manner. They may not necessarily be the best in their sector but when a solution is needed, they are the ones that land the contracts. That’s not negativity it’s a statement of fact unfortunately and the worry is we risk missing the bigger boat for a much smaller one.

aandi, you mention delays, going bust, I’m aware of the history and maybe they should have left well alone.

I’m also aware of the business model but whether they are the technology partner only in a contract, they have a vested interest to get it over the line and operational. There doesn’t seem to be any sign from them whatsoever of a project closure or any sense of urgency to get themselves to that point.

The constant delays affect credibility unfortunately and other solutions look more appealing to those wanting to invest in the tech.

I deliver contracts and services in a different profession/sector and I’m around the table having the conversations and chasing problems down. Without that presence of all parties, timeframes/targets/quality issues can all be affected.

The delays are exposing us to the next risk, be it a global event, production issues etc and they of course come cap in hand asking for more. It’s just frustrating to watch.

If we’ve put a lot more investment into Northfork, we should be making dammed sure there is significant progress, irrespective of whether it’s third parties involved in the build. We can’t allow it to keep dragging on for months/years without an end in sight. If we’ve got so little control in those decisions and timings, we should have walked away.

The wild fires rage, we have a solution to help with the problem . . . . but . . . .

We took on additional risk at further cost. If we chuck money at projects like that one, that are taking forever to achieve closure, then there should be a serious rethink by the BOD.

You can see the next placing on the horizon, needed because of rising costs due to delays!!! If they concentrated on getting one, just one that’s all, over the line in a timely manner, they would reduce exposure to further risk and it would be a huge boost all round.

Until then, they won’t be taken seriously enough. There are lots of posts on these boards with a link to a good article and a comment ‘no sign of Eqtec in it’. Is there any wonder. This BOD have had enough excuses, it’s time for action.

My fear, we get towards the end of the year as we did the last one, drip fed with their enthusiasm in tweets and other announcements only to find we didn’t hit the targets we were led to believe.

The only event that will push this share price to where we hope it to be is the all important closure of a project - it will impact on credibility, quality and performance. Still we have silence and ongoing delays unfortunately. Feels like a squirrel on a greased pole - we edge up tentatively only to slide back down again.

A lot of the green energy shares went up by over 4% today, PHE, AFC - Tlou energy by 20% even - another company offering green hydrogen solutions. Eqtec stay rooted. Are people going across to others now as they see here a company that constantly delays. As the government is ramping up investment in hydrogen technology, will they miss out if they don’t pull their finger out. Aren’t we due a trading update of a sort.

Opinion is not really spamming though Mikey, is it?. I came out the playground a while back, I’ve got far better things to do with my time. Read the messages posted, they state very clearly everyone is entitled to their view it is up to you whether you invest or not.

With thanks Chilting but I’ve listened to their interviews over the months and as we all know what appears to be around the corner/imminent, really isn't. Even if it is smaller scale they just need to get something completed - look what I posted yesterday, councils for instance looking abroad for solutions when it could be home grown tech.

I have been here for around 2 years and have a large enough holding without looking for a cheap entry thanks very much. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and quite simply this company has struggled to deliver with repeated delays.

I’m not in the finance sector, don’t look to deramp and have underlined the fact that all views are good to read on this board.
