Hi Investor - as a mineral exploration and extraction business any resources given formal assessment are assets - its why you get large increases in exploration share price because the maybe we have minerals - lets do sampling and drilling moves the low probability asset from RESOURCE through to becoming a RESERVE. As it becomes a RESERVE the geology work converts the 'maybe' question into a 'probably' answer. Probably is good enough for the minerals to be valued as an asset on the balance sheet and then financial instruments can be used to borrow against Lien over the asset or whole business.

Thats how it moves from not being on the balance sheet to becoming an asset on the balance sheet.

Just to add to Paddy - also once the MRE is made then the asset is verified and can be placed on the balance sheet - so it can then have debt issued against it - so it makes debt finance much easier to raise - even if it is short term 1 - 2 year stuff.

So HAV should become a balance sheet asset quite soon.

Market Cap is calculated based on ISSUED and also FULLY DILUTED - which includes unconverted warrants / performance options and so on.

Seems that there could be some real imbalances by the end of the Q in a sector that has such high Beta.

How often does GDXJ adjust its holdings to remain proportional vs market cap?

Or in English - does GDXJ now have to sell say 30 m shares to adjust to the market capitalisation fall in GGP from 27p to 20p or whatever they used as the fund entry price (Maybe 25p).

Is this a daily / weekly etc micro adjustment process?

If this is the case then they have been a seller over the past few days maybe adding down pressure on the price.

Anyone out there working for an ETF passive that has the answer??

BAMPS - look at Golden State Mining via ASX - they are exploring in the land next to De Grey / Hemi - and they have an initial but low grade gold find from the first drills. Also they are using the same drill team as Hemi if that means much.

Its nearology - but could work out.

Not a chance GGP will sell for 28p - the CEO would never get another job in mining if he did that - and lets face it - if he wants to keep working post GGP then he has a chance of running one of the Top 20 - the Board have to protect the interests of the shareholders and that would not be in their/our interests.

If you think the MM are bringing the price down temporarily to hit stops and trigger some shares / liquidity into the market - then swim with the tide, buy a few more shares here at the low point strictly as a 5 day trade and then sell them say 20% higher next week.

The MM will revese the price once they see buying taking out the low points.

I have just done this on an IG index spread bet - i can see 20% on this trade.

Hill - the best thing NOVACYT could do (via NUMIS ???) is get promoted from AIM to the main market - which means most pension funds and investment trusts can then include them in their portfolios - this would create a substantial demand for shares - many pensions etc are blocked from buying AIM and can only access via ITs. If we want a true market rating we need to get onto the true market.

The issue here is lack of sales acceleration - the year to June compared to the forecast provided is basically x 2 which shows o upward growth in revenues - I think NOVA needs to show this growth to really get a shareprice boost.

OK its definitely undervalued if earnings can remain stable from here - say 10x would be fair, but revenue growth would really light the fire.

The figures are great and great margins too but the forward statement is a bit Meh for me.

And actually technically you are not going short or long - you are simply betting on price moves, just like the 4.30 from Newmarket. You dont have a real market position, just a bet, hence no Capital Gains.

No Spreadex is an Automated Broker - they quote prices fed via API from an Automated Market Maker - and make money by adding a bit on for the convenience of using their platform - fine for trades the size most punters want to make as a spread bet. They also offer CFDs for bigger stuff which may require price and size from a human MM - but rarely i think. They are not a MM and do not run a principle book, certainly not for anything a small as KEFI - liquidity comes from the real MMs.

The market needs to know what all of these products mean in terms of revenues - and with the lack of Significant Contract type RNS announcements I am guessing that its a stream of small / medium sized orders from distribution - rather than one huge contract or two dropping. This isnt a bad thing - a steady flow of orders is better than one or two big contracts IMO. But we really need to know what has been happening since June to re-rate at all.

I dont think that is the situation, Spreadex is a spread betting business, they wont be taking positions in any stock, they make money from the spread - its in the name. Its probably their punters who are closing CFD long positions - ie. sell to close - so that reduces the net long and so it appears on the significant holding report that Spreadex are selling but they are acting a nominee here.

my personal view is that there is plently left here - still potential to x 4 share price from here - some say more. The price has risen of course as the drill discovers and derisks the project - but the main discovery so far could be repeated and also 100% owned instead of farm-in / shared.

Also its not just the upside to consider - its the downside risk - and i think there is little downside risk here - maybe to 12p range but here is almost certainly a buyer for HAV and so downside is very limited. Risk/reward - its not GLAXO but at this end of the stockmarket its a decent bet - plus you could enetr now with a short term - say 1 onth view and then review as there are lots of price events on the very near horizon.

My view.

It's a market place, so offer what you want to. With a wide spread, offer far inside, good for day, small size, and work it out in small price rises. You will get filled at some point, then you can complete your order more or less at that price. MMs like order flow, it's how they make money.
