Shorters still at 8.9% and unlikely to be going anywhere ahead of CMD on 25th despite higher volumes this week. Improving oil price helps but need way forward on financial stability, which will hopefully provided (without significant dilution) on 25th

Shorts have increased to 8.5%....can you explain your logic again about them running for the hills!

The Shorts certainly dont want to be out of this, they've increased their shorts in last few days.

Remember being told by careers advisor in late '70s not to become Chemical Engineer and go into oil industry as oil would be running out in 20 years. Thankfully I ignored him. Had great career in the industry and I won't see oil's demise in my lifetime. Load up.

Surprisingly (and sadly) Shorts remained unchanged despite the 50M shares traded Weds. They still have us by the short n curlies. Not sure the Uganda announcement will shift them either, I think they'll be waiting until CM day aftermath

My take from the conference call was that the Uganda sales proceeds give Tullow the time and control to avoid any fire sales. It's crucial and the only disappointment is that it couldn't be announced today. As an aside, was impressed with Rahul and some of questioners seemed to know him/of him and gave genuine warm welcome to him being back

To be fair the Company have done what they set out since start of year. The macro environment and 8% shorter interest are not in Company's control. If oil doesn't retrace and Company stick to their deliverables we will be fine. Nevertheless worrying times when you see shenanigans at PMO

Cheers Tornadotony, I agree with your points. Had hoped the RBL confirmation earlier in year would see a corner turned but it's clear that Covid could yet kill off a lot of oilies. I'm holding whatever and read with interest your positive inputs to this board

It is disappointing being a lth of a share targetted by shorters but alas it's a reality. If you can move the value of a company by 25-30% by selling 1-2% of shares in circulation why wouldn't you. Nice work if you can get it. Need a lock on that bottom drawer to avoid selling out of fear.

A couple of weeks ago SP gap between Tlw and Premier was 21p, today it's 7p. Both have 8%+ shorts.

This is a reassuring RNS for lth like me. Slowly but surely reducing the "going concern material risk" . Patience,lots of it, will reward.

Shorters can manipulate the SP but they don't affect business performance. If Company and new CEO deliver on current forecasts and continue to reduce "going concern" risk then the SP will come good and shorters will move on. Lots to do before that happens though.
